Overview

Live by and with nature - sustainable land use today - experience cheese production up close! The soil forms the uppermost part of the earth's crust and is the transition zone between rock and vegetation. This zone is only a few centimeters thick and is therefore in the background, but this does not do justice to its importance, because the processes that make it possible for plants to grow and food to be produced take place in the soil. We feed our goats the nutritious grasses and aromatic herbs of the Eifel meadows around our farm. We would be happy to introduce them to you personally - their very special charm will immediately cast a spell over you. From the stable to the milking parlor to the cheese dairy, we offer you an exclusive look behind the scenes from animal husbandry to cheese production. On top of that. When you taste our specialties, you can taste why the specialist magazine “Der Feinschmecker” has fallen in love with our products.

What Can You Expect?

How do you actually make cheese? What is special about goat cheese? How much milk does such a goat actually give? And how is she milked? We answer all these questions during a tour of the farm. You will also learn exciting things about goat husbandry, milking, goats, milk and cheese. Finally, we will offer you four goat specialties for tasting.

    Leider werden die Tiere nur in Boxen im Stall gehalten. Der Stall ist recht dunkel. Er wirkt zwar gepflegt, aber ein den Ziegen gerechtes Leben ist das ja nicht. Wenn sie Heu fressen, kann man sie doch auch ihrer Art entsprechend auf abwechslungsreichem Gelände draußen halten. Ich fände das als Besucherin und Käuferin der Produkte sehr überzeugend. Der Käse ist sehr lecker und auch ansprechend verpackt. Die Verkaufsgespräche waren sehr freundlich. Erst danach sah ich den großen Stall.

    Der Besuch vom Hofladen und die Hofführung haben mich beeindruckt ... nachhaltiges Konzept und tolle Produkte ... ein Käse leckerer wie der andere...ich komme wieder. Versprochen!!!

    Bei echt scheußlichen Wetter haben wir eine Führung über den Ziegenhof mitgemacht und waren total begeistert. Die Ziegen sind in einem großen, sauberen Stall untergebracht und fühlen sich sichlich wohl. Es riecht auch nicht nach Ziege. Das Anbebot im Hofladen ist eine Wucht. Da bei der Führung ein Probierteller includet war, konnten wir dann die Leckereien dort käuflich erwerben. Sehr empfehlenswert. Wir werden Ende des Jahres wieder ein paar Tage in der Eifel verbringen und zum Käsekauf wiederkommen
