Two friends of mine and I did this tour recently upon visiting Egypt for the first time. It was excellent, and we couldn't ask for more. Although the tour starts very early on day one (the flight to Cairo is at 4am), the days are completely action packed, and you are incredibly well looked after. Our tour guides were incredibly friendly and informative throughout this whole experience, whilst the hotel we stayed in in Luxor was first class. Both tour guides had a deep and intimate understanding of each place we visited, having a combined 30+ year experience between the two of them. They strive to ensure you are comfortable, making sure you are well fed, and that you are not bothered by hagglers when at each site. As a word of advice, be prepared to spend a lot additionally on museum entry fees, as well as tipping various individuals. Also, many stops are planned to various workshops, although the items sold are highly interesting and unique to Egypt. Furthermore, dinner is not included in the hotel in Luxor at the end of day one, but lunch is included for both days, and you are given an option as to where you wish to eat from a selection of good local restaurants. All in all, this is a brilliant way to explore Cairo and Luxor for those who wish to do so in a short period of time from Hurghada, and we would highly recommend it.
