We booked this as it said small group of maximum 15 people. But we were picked up (8:20am) and taken to a marina 20mins away and put on a boat with over 30 others. It turned out that this was too many for the govt officials and we sat in the docks for over 2 hours waiting for them to 'sort something out' - whenever we asked we were always going to leave "in 5 minutes". We eventually got going and went first to drop a load of people off at orange bay (a beach further down the island) and then on another 20mins ish to paradise island. This is rows of parasols on a beach (it seems that each group/boat gets allocated a row) and we got 1.5hrs here. The sea is lovely and clear so it made for a nice swim. We realised we weren't going to get lunch until after 3pm so had to order the kids super expensive (10euro) ice creams to get them through. We then had to leave to pick up the orange bay people (so these guys got an extra hour on the beach). Lunch was nice and then it was time for snorkelling. This bit wasn't the tours fault but it was windy and the waves made for a pretty stressful time with trying to snorkel with a 12 and 8 year old. The dive instructor was good though and looked after them well - but it wasn't exactly brilliant snorkelling. There was a few fish but it was a just out over a reef in open sea. Not calm peaceful snorkelling..and it was the only stop for this. After, we headed back to the harbour. I think this was when we were supposed to do the water sports but everyone just got off the boat and we're put into transfers back. No one from the crew spoke to us but we overheard someone say we couldn't do them because of the wind. Again, this bit wasn't really their fault but would have been good to have been told and apologies made.

Lovely trip. Well organised. Friendly helpful staff. Really nice island. Clear clean sea. Enjoyed the snorkelling. Had some nice food. Sifts drinks available on the boat.

Great experience. Definitely a must for those staying in Hurghada. Asmaa and Tariq great hosts along with other crew members. Enjoyed being in the crystal clear waters and seeing the sealife. Perfect way to spend a day.
