Very friendly team, they handled all documents and insurance upfront , it was a great adventure to roam around with the 200cc Hero Xpulse. No problems with some scratches afterwards. thanks for the great trip, I will definitely do it again

The country and people are wonderful, road condition and driver behaviour very good. Food fantastic, everything great value. The humidity a bit of a problem temperature ok. The hire company could not give me the bike I wanted even though I mailed them a number of times reminding them of my arrival. The front tyre was slick! But after fitting a new tyre asap by myself they refunded the cost promptly on return. Please, please check the expiry date of the bike insurance! Before taking the bike. Out of date insurance certificate is not acceptable. Check the contract, renting between 18 and 71 only. I was 78, didn’t spot that! do check the tyre pressures, do not rely on the mechanics say so. Despite booking several months in advance and with confirmation emails, when I arrived there was no motorcycle available (125cc manual booked) due to an unspecified problem. They tried to get me to take a twist and go which was not suitable for our trip. In their favour they eventually referred me to another operator with a bike available but the delay cost me a whole day of travel and a slightly higher rental cost than agreed. Maybe just bad luck, but with the advance booking they could have organised a replacement beforehand. Not good enough really, wont be going back to them. Nigel Jan 2024

I very much appreciate the effort that Sri Lanka Bike Rental went through on my behalf, all with only a few days of notice. They did successfully find a 200cc motorcycle for me when all others were rented out, and they got the Sri Lankan drivers license verification completed in less than 24hrs. This was all essential as the trip was as much a surprise for me as it was for them. The result was that I had a great time driving around (approx. 800km). It is fair to say that the motorcycle wouldn't have passed a TüF or MoT inspection. But that is standard for nearly all vehicles in Sri Lanka. It did what I asked of it though, much better than a scooter or tuktuk could have. And the office had a sound break-down plan. So, I was satisfied. I can easily recommend this business. They were also fair with the payments/ money. There were no surprises or hidden costs.
