Totally deceiving process! La Vacanza Travel presents itself (on behalf of Shane Tours??) as a cruise with recorded commentary for a set time (could have selected any of multiple times from the site). I selected 7pm, and booked reservations for 8:30, figuring we would get to our dinner then. Once at the dock, and communicating with the representative from the service, none of this could be further from the truth. The site lists that the excursion includes: a guide at your disposal for additional questions, and more importantly "Guaranteed to skip the lines". When we arrived, we were told via WhatsApp communication that our pre-purchased excursion still required us to get in an hour's long line. He specifically texted us when asked about this that "skip the line" refers to you don't need to stand in the TICKET LINE. This is the stupidest, most deceiving thing I ever heard. It is basically confirming that if you bought something in advance, that you also don't have to buy it again??? BTW - there was NO LINE at the ticket counter, and you can also buy electronically at a kiosk. We waited over an hour, took the cruise and missed our dinner reservations because of this. If we knew that we would have to stand in line with all of the others, in spite of the "guarantee", we would have left earlier to get in the darn line. What a waste of time and money. Just buy it at the gate and give yourself enough time to get on the 3rd or 4th boat after you arrive (they leave every 15 - 20 minutes or so)

Experience was not operational based on the high water levels. All river tours were canceled for the scheduled date, 4/6 as well through 4/7.

I am awaiting refund after arriving, and it being cancelled, with no prior notification. The tour operator had no idea what was going on, then agreed to refund when I called - this hasn’t been actioned.

The trip did not take place because of high tide. There is nothing more to say. We hurried to the place to be informed that it does not take place.
