On Halloween Day (October 31, 2023), I took a private tour to stroll through the Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris, France. I was fortunate to have Clara as my tour guide. Clara is a well informed tour guide and she did an excellent job taking me through the cemetery stopping at various notable gravestones along the way. She is very familiar with the history of this cemetery and I was fortunate to have her as my personal tour guide. I opted for a private tour because I didn't want to be part of a huge tour group. I know that Clara's company does do group tours as well opting instead for smaller groups instead of huge numbers which I think is much more practical in smaller numbers. Either a private tour or a small group visit through this historical cemetery is more personable as well. I had wanted to visit this cemetery to see the final resting place of Jim Morrison of the Doors. It was the last grave site that I visited and I was pleased to have visited his grave site. The next time I'm in Paris I will make arrangements to visit this cemetery again and to arrange to have Clara as my tour guide.
