Overview

Enjoy the magic of the lagoon by night on a spacious luxury catamaran, with a glass of spritz or prosecco in your hand, and to the sounds of a gentle tenor saxophone. You will still experience the afterglow colours of the Venetian sunset before the night takes over. It cannot get more romantic than this!

Stop At: Venice, Venice, Veneto

The 90 minute panoramic cruise takes you from the bay of San Marco past the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute down the Canale della Giudecca along Fondamenta Zattere and Dorsaduro.
At the level of the Hilton Stucky we shall turn back along the Giudecca shore, pass San Giorgio Maggiore before taking a turn towards Lido di Venezia.
Having explored one of the less well known sections of Lido we shall finally return to our starting point via Sant'Elena and the Giardini della Biennale.

All this at the beginning of the night, with the magic colours of a Venetian post-sunset, a glass of spritz or prosecco in your hand, and to the gentle jazz music of a tenor saxophone…

    On first glance, this looks like an expensive trip (we paid around €110 for two people). However, for a 90 minute trip, and with two drinks each, it’s definitely worth it, especially when you consider the same 4 drinks on dry land around St Marks Square cost c.€50-60. If you’re nervous about spending 90 minutes on a boat (e.g. if you’re anxious on the water or worried about being seasick), then don’t. Because this is a Catamaran, it is very, very steady - especially at speed. In fact, the only time the movement was noticeable was when it was tied up at the quay! One important tip: if you’re taking the envying trip, as we did, water something warm. We took the trip in early October and it started to get quite chilly half way through. Another tip: you’re not allowed to wear shoes on the canvas ‘deck’, so make sure you have clean socks on! One minor quibble: I was expecting the Saxophonist to play throughout the trip, or at least for a significant portion of it, but he only played for about 20 minutes (which was a shame as I was waiting to hear if he would play Gerry Rafferty’s Sax classic ‘Baker Street’!)

    We loved it. The boat was beautiful. The staff were lovely. A hidden gem. I would absolutely recommend.

    From the time we boarded until the time we departed, this was the most memorable cruise of my 3 months away. The team, the 70’ cat, the hospitality and view were unparalleled. Was served the best Negroni of my life. After 1.5 hours cruising the Venice lagoon at night, I hated leaving. Well done to the captain and crew. Shining example for Venice tourism.

    Apartment was clean, quiet and beautiful. Met all our needs. Walking distance to main attractions. Close to water transportation, shopping and restaurants. Love the corner location for the views and close access to bridge. Exceeded our expectations!!!
