It was a nice cruise. Lovely people and did a lot of beautiful sightseeing. The guide, Hady, was very caring and nice to listen to. Would definitely recommend.

We went with Imperial Egypt on Princess Sarah--among all the cruises, it falls to the older side, but is still acceptable. The bath towels are all gray after perhaps many washes. The view from the window is nice. The staff are no hassle and don't bother us, and we are asked to tip them 10 dollars at the end of our stay (which is fine, but still I like my tips to be more voluntary. How much I tip depends on how much I want to tip, not how much I am told to tip.) Our tour guide Mahmoud is very knowledgeable and speaks great English. For each tourist site, he speaks for 15 minutes about the site and then gives us about 1 hour of free time. He also gives us tips on where to buy things and how much to pay for them. Now, the reason for the one-star off. In general, I advise against buying any stuff at "official" sites, be it a store on the boat or at some factory you went to together during the tour. I bought an Egyptian cotton dress on the boat for 15 dollars and then bought an identical one off the boat for 4 dollars--the seller on the boat claims his dress is of superior quality and doesn't fade in color during the wash. However, after I came back and washed the boat dress (not the street dress) it faded so terribly bad and colored everything. The factory we went to sold a small alabaster vase to our fellow group member for 15 dollars. I got one at a local store myself for 3 dollars, exactly the same thing, even better. I also don't like the restaurant we went to together during the tour, all the beef meatballs have sand in them and for the price you pay at that restaurant, you can eat like a queen at McDonald where the food is very sanitary. To summarize, just enjoy the trip and Egyptian culture, but don't buy anything until you get off the boat/tour and have the freedom go shopping on your own.

Mahmoud was extremely knowledgeable & always available to help! We really enjoyed our time on the boat, sailing on the Nile and exploring the ancient beauty of Aswan and Luxor. The boat staff was very friendly & kind! Get ready for an equally intense and rewarding adventure in the heart of Egypt! We would definitely recommend it! Adamantia/Anastasis

Hady is hands down the best guide I have been with. He is very patient, funny and kind person. He made sure we were able to cover everything in the itinerary without rushing us. You have to make sure to be on time as suggested by him as he wants to get you to the places before it gets crowded. He also offered us if we wanted to go to Nubian Village which was not included in the itinerary and I am glad we did not miss this experience. It was a unique little colorful place and boat ride was a different vibe. So peaceful. You just have to pay extra for this experience but its worth it. He will take you to the local vendors so that the vendors can demo their specialty like how perfumes, Papyrus, statues etc are made and you get to know the culture more closely. There is noooo force at all to buy anything. He will suggest you good pricing as well. I read lot of reviews where people say that they don’t like how the guide takes them to these places for commissions but you have to understand that this is one of the best way to know how locals and artists work. Best way to know the culture of that place. And if you dont want to buy its your decision entirely. I have never seen a guide as patient as Hady and he made sure we felt like we were traveling with family. He treated me like his sister and got me Falafels every chance he got. He goes above and beyond. His knowledge of the history and culture is good and so is his English. He gives you right amount of information on history and gives enough time to take pictures and explore the place on your own. And plus point is that he is an AMAZING photographer. I will highly recommend him! Thank you Hady for everything we miss you!
