Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: The Pearl Island, Doha 7256 Qatar

The Pearl-Qatar is a high-end man-made island in Doha, Qatar. It covers four million square meters of reclaimed land and is home to approximately 33,000 residents.

Pass By: Katara Cultural Village, Doha Qatar

Keeping pace with the emerging global culture that emphasises the importance of diversity in human development, Katara Cultural Village is the largest and the most multidimensional cultural project of Qatar. It is a place where people come together to experience the cultures of the world.

Pass By: West Bay, Doha, Qatar

West Bay is Doha’s contemporary Central Business District, which is composed of high density, mixed-use development consisting of high cost, high-rise skyscrapers.

Pass By: Museum of Islamic Art, Corniche, Doha Qatar

The iconic waterfront building that houses the Museum of Islamic Art melds traditional Islamic architecture with 21st-century innovation.

Designed by internationally renowned architect I.M. Pei, MIA’s complex includes a five-storey main building with an adjacent education wing connected by a large central courtyard. The main building features a high domed atrium within a central tower. The cream-coloured limestone exterior captures the changes in light and shade during the day.

Pass By: National Museum of Qatar, Museum Park Street off the Doha Corniche, Doha Qatar

The complex form of the desert rose, found in Qatar’s arid desert regions, inspired the striking design of the NMoQ building, conceived by French architect Jean Nouvel.

Completed in 2019, the museum’s building has been constructed around the centerpiece of Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani’s original palace – his family home and seat of the government for 25 years. The palace has been carefully restored and conserved so that it can be enjoyed by visitors and future generations to come.

Pass By: Stadium 974, Doha Qatar

Stadium 974 made history even before its first World Cup match. Constructed entirely from shipping containers and modular steel, it is the first fully demountable covered football stadium – showing Qatar’s commitment to cost-effective sustainability and daring design.

This was a wonderful cruise with a small group. We left the Pearl at gate 27 and headed out along the shores of Katara, West Bay, and went into the dhow harbour pausing briefly at the Museum of Islamic Art. We then went around the cruise terminal toward stadium 974 before heading back to The Pearl Marina. The 2 hr cruise was timed perfectly to catch the sunset at around the 1/2 way point. The city lights of West Bay were spectacular. All along the way our knowledgeable guide Ece kept us well informed of the sights we were passing. It was a cool night and Ece sent us a text message the day prior to introduce herself and suggested to bring a jacket. On board, she provided blankets as it did get a bit chilly (15 C with a breeze). You also had the option of escaping into the shelter of the cabin. This was an excellent cruise that I highly recommend for those living in Doha or having a stopover between flights!

It was a great experience, and we're very glad we booked. It was just the two of us plus our captain. He was also our tour guide and knew his stuff, and the 2 hours flew by. When we return next year, we'll be sure to repeat. We were concerned about doing it in the evening, but leaving at 4 pm was perfect, and we were able to witness a lovely sunset and then return to the Old Port with all the buildings illuminated at night along the coastline.
