Overview

Everest Base Camp Trek gives you an opportunity to visit some of the high-altitude destinations that only a handful of world’s population ever gets to visit. Following the footsteps of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, trek along the foothills of Himalayan mountains including the world’s highest, Mount Everest (8,848 m). Stand beneath their massive shadows and feel humbled. En route experience Sherpa hospitality and culture, Buddhist spiritualism (the trails are adorned with mani stones, chortens and colorful prayer flags) and amazing mountain scenery.

NOTE: The Lukla flights to and from Kathmandu had been shifted to Manthali Airport, Ramechhap district in 2019 & 2020 due to heavy air traffic during peak trekking season (Mar, Apr, May, Oct, Nov). But, for now, the flights are directly between Kathmandu and Lukla. Extra cost would be applicable if airlines don't provide any shuttle services or if you want to take a private vehicle instead of the shared ride provided by the airlines.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

Stop At: Ace the Himalaya, Thamel, A One Business Complex, Second Floor, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
Our airport representative will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and s/he will be displaying an Ace the Himalaya signboard outside the airport terminal. You will be then transferred to your respective hotel in our private tourist vehicle.

Note: If you happen to arrive after 4 pm you would be briefed about the EBC trek by our guide, this will be the pre-trip meeting for you, so please make sure that you ask all the questions. But if you arrive earlier than 4 pm, your pre-trip meeting would be on that very day at our office. During the meeting, we will introduce your trek leader/guide. For the meeting, please make sure you bring the passport, three copies of passport-size photos and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. During this meeting, please clear the due balance, if any, and sign the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer.

Trip of a lifetime, Ace went above and beyond my expectations. Raj and Sunil are great guides with tons of experience. They made the trip easy and were there to answer our needs. The porters were awesome, always there to help. This is the best trek I have done in my life, the views are stunning.

This was one of the best trips of my entire life. This could not have been done without our guide Nima Sherpa and porters Nayang Sherpa and Pardip Magar. They have made this trip a memory that will last a lifetime. They were all so incredibly professional and passionate which made our trip very easy. If you are planning a trip to Everest Base Camp, I highly recommend booking with ACE the Himalayas and ask for Nima (guide) and Nayang and Pardip (porters).

I’m just about to finish a fantastic trip to EBC with Ace. I booked this trip on the strength of the Trip Advisor reviews and I’m please to say they have lived up to their excellent reputation. When I first contacted them from the UK six months ago, Sujan was always quick to respond and answer all my questions. The pre-trek briefing at the office was also very thorough and informative. On the first day of our Trek, there were delays due to poor weather at Lukla with hundreds of Trekkers stranded and facing an overnight stay at a local hotel. The team at Ace somehow managed to secure us a Helicopter at the last minute which meant we were able to start our trip on time and not waste any of our valuable reserve days. There is no way this would have happened if they were not so well connected with the transport companies. Whilst on the Trek, our two Porters Nayang and Pardip worked incredibly hard to ensure our bags arrived at our accommodation when we did. They often overtook us on the hills despite carrying 25-30kg, whilst we struggled up with our little day sacks! Best of all was our guide Ngima. He is one of the most charismatic, funny and knowledgable guides I have ever met. He looked after us extremely well throughout the trip and nothing was too much trouble for him. Being a local Sherpa and growing up in Lukla meant he had so many interesting facts and stories to share with us. His enthusiasm and positivity was infectious which got us through any low points when energy levels dropped. I feel lucky to have spent the last 12 days with him. Without a doubt, this has been a fantastic trip and I leave with many happy memories that will last a lifetime. I would not hesitate to recommend using Ace for your Himalayan adventures and I hope you are lucky enough to get Ngima as your guide if you do!

Completed the EBC trek, Sushanta the lead guide and Sauman the assistant guide were excellent, there was no time where I felt uncomfortable or unsafe as they led us at our own pace. The porters were efficient and happy to lend a hand whenever needed

A bucket list trip that I've been dreaming about for many, many years and it could not have gone better. From the moment we booked we have been superbly looked after by Ace the Himalaya, with all questions being quickly and fully answered. We landed in Kathmandu and were met by our head guide Sushanta. From that moment he, assistant guide Sauman and the porters have been superb. Their expertise and support went above and beyond expectations. Their knowledge and experience made us feel safe and looked after. Sushanta and Sauman have qualities that can't be taught - they are kind and genuinely care about their guests having a great experience. I honestly don't think we'd have made it to EBC without them. We arrived as guests and will be leaving as friends. I cannot recommend Ace highly enough!!
