If you like an adventure in wild and overwhelming nature and a good conversation around the campfire, this is the trip for you!

This tour is set up like an expedition, where everyone will work together to accomplish goals.

You have to be able to paddle in calm and windy circumstances at a normal pace.

Everybody needs to be able to swim and to be strong enough to lift a fully packed kayak in and out of the water, in rocky and slippery landing conditions.

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

We will kayak from Ålesund through the Storfjord & Geirangerfjord towards Geiranger village. Along the way, you will be able to enjoy the impressive fjord and waterfalls like the massive Seven Sister waterfall up close.

Start your kayak expedition at the Atlantic coast, where you will leave Ålesund and make your way into the fjord landscape, paddling through the fjords and enjoy camping on an island. While paddling deeper into the fjords, day by day, let yourself be awed as the landscape surrounding you transforms gradually.

This fjord kayaking trip in Norway does something with you along the way, the sheer size of the fjords, the beauty of the cultural heritage, meeting the locals, clean and pristine nature.
Daily routines and pace brings you back to nature, to yourself. Sharing this with a small international group of people, the stunning waterfalls, a porpoise blowing in the silent evening or an eagle catching a fish is just a natural fit in your experience.   • All meals, starting with lunch on day one and ending with lunch on day six
  • The services of an experienced Norway Adventures guide throughout the trip
  • Five nights camping and the use of all camping gear (you only have to bring your own sleeping bag)
  • All kayak equipment (single or double kayaks, paddle, paddle vest, waterproof luggage bag)

  • Travel to and from Norway, and the travel to Ålesund, and from Geiranger
  • Alcoholic Beverages
  • Possible additional unexpected cost in case of a dramatic change during the trip

I am struggling to put into words how fantastic this trip was! We have been on a few kayaking trips all over the world and they all seem to pale into insignificance compared to the Alesund to Geiranger trip with Rogier and Lotte from Norway AdvenTURes. Such fantastic guides, good kit, amazing scenery and good company. I particularly loved the traditional farm stay and the amazing scenery in and around the fjords. Paddling down the Geirangerfjord was such a great reward at the end of the trip! I would fully recommend this trip if you are able to sustain paddling for a few hours a day and happy to help with cooking, moving kayaks about and sustaining the friendly banter! Thank you to everyone involved in making this such a special experience!

I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. Rogier and his assistant Lotte were excellent guides. They told great stories, showed us some amazing corners of the fjords and the farms that folks kept along them, made good decisions, and paid close attention to safety. Very patient as well. Highlights were of course Geiranger Fjord, but also the Ytste Skotet farm/museum high above the fjords, and the kayaking itself. Food was plentiful and good. We paddled about 5 hours a day, with breaks for lunch and covered a total of 100km. The trip is appropriate for anyone who is fit, ready to sleep in a tent, and willing to help out with tasks like hauling boats out of the water and pitching the tents. A remarkable experience. I went kajakking and 1 day hiking with a nice small group of people from over the world. It was like diving in the heaven of Norway in an intercultural and local way.. Feeling the nature, adventure to discover, wildlife (salmons, eagles, folfins) around, over the salty water, under the ever light sun, in the windy fjords, fire for fresh fishfood. Thank you for the fun and never expected experience Thank you Rogier and Anne for the perfect organization to make this happen I will be back soon! Hubert

I can't recommend this trip enough! The breathtaking sceneries and the atmosphere were well worth the effort of paddling for nearly 100 km in 6 days. Camping next to an abandoned farm overlooking the fjord (be prepared for some pretty tough hikes..), filling water bottles from amazing waterfalls while sitting on the kayak and eating freshly caught fish was only few of the great moments we enjoyed during the trip. The guides were patient and knowledgeable, the food was abundant and the organisation overall was perfect. Yes, we got dirty and wet, paddling against strong headwinds was no joke but if you're after some adventure in one of the most beautiful places in Europe you should definitely try this!

Die Tour war absolut fantastisch! Die von mir ursprünglich gebuchte Tour wurde mangels Teilnehmer abgesagt. Anne war sehr bemüht, mir eine Alternative zu bieten. Die Lösung die wir gemeinsam gefunden haben, war großartig. Ich hätte mir keine bessere Tour wünsche können. Die Landschaft ist unfassbar schön und die Orte an denen wir übernachtet haben waren unbeschreiblich. Der Guide war toll. Sehr professionell und erfahren und zusätzlich auch noch ein großartiger Koch ;-) Es hat einfach alles gepasst.
