    Avoid at all costs!! We joined a 5-hour private fishing trip that cost €535 organised by Profishingalicante on 17 December 2023. The company completely failed to deliver the services it promised on the website and on their confirmation. The fishing trip was a ridicule, having us sitting on the boat for 2.5 hours without letting us touch any fishing equipment/ fishing rods even after we requested to use a rod by ourselves when there was only 1.5 hours left of the trip. The skipper insisted that the method he was using was the best method( fishing rods with 2 rusty fake baits fixed at the back of the boat, see photo)and refused to change to any other fishing method. 2 of us have 20 years of fishing experience to handle a fishing rod by ourselves and know that the rusty fake baits/hooks were not going to hold any fish even if a fish was on hook. From what we saw on the boat, there were no baits ready except the two rusty fake baits so the skipper didn’t let us use the rods by ourselves (cos no other baits available on board). So basically we paid €535 to sit on a boat with two rods hanging at the back of the boat and watch the skipper turn the wheels. At around 12 o’clock, we were so disappointed that we wanted to finish the trip. What’s more, there wasn’t any refreshment/snacks provided as promised on their website and on their confirmation. The drinks they provided were stored in a rusty and dirty container, some cans of beer there were rusty (see photos). When we asked for refreshments, the skipper said “no, there isn’t any refreshments/snacks here”. No snacks but a rubbish bin full of rubbish left over from probably the last trip. This Profishingalicante company is a huge scam and a disgrace of tourism in Alicante. When we asked for a refund, the person responsible only replied once every few hours saying the same thing “ the management is considering the case, there is nothing I can do.” and using different excuses to shrug us off. Avoid at all costs!! SCAM. The person responsible can’t even give me the hojas de reclamaciones, which is required for business in Spain. I’m now trying to get the consumer authority and police involved to investigate the case. If you want to get ripped off and have your holiday ruined, go for Profishingalicante. Mind you, google carefully for their details, you will find their address is a roundabout.

    After travelling over 1000 miles to enjoy a days fishing on the Med with profishing they cancelled on me the night before saying that another person had dropped out so they couldn’t afford to go!!! There is no professionalism from these people and I would avoid them at all costs. We all know there was never another person but they will book you up anyway leading you on hoping someone else will book in. Disgusting behaviour

    Our guide, Alex, was great! The company worked around our cruise ship schedule to make the day work perfectly! We highly recommend this to anyone who wants to fish the Mediterranean during their vacation!!!!

    We went this Tuesday, 25th of April. We were met at 8am in front for Regata Club and made our way into a small boat with 1 other person. We were also warn before boarding that there is no toilet. We were asked if we wanted to fish for a big fish or small. We asked if possible both options and were taken to the sea. What we didn't realise is that by big fish they meant tuna and we spend next 1hr and 40min searching for it. Then they finally explained to us what they were searching for and offered to go fishing for a small fish. We then stopped at a spot, spend 2min and were told that we are going somewhere else as there is no fish. We then stopped on another spot, where my boyfriend caught 1 small fish and we were again told that fish is not active and we are going somewhere else. By this point we spend about 2 min on one spot and 10min on another spot. We then went for another 30min searching for a spot. Stopped again to fish using spinning (for barracuda) and only the guide caught 1 fish. We then were told that we are going back to the port and may stop on another spot. We did not stop and went back. We then stopped to refuel and ended up sitting there for 20min, which was longer than any of the fishing spots. Very disappointing experience. We were back at about 12:35, and on shore at 12:55 (having spent 20min at fuel station). I bought this as a present to my boyfriend and was so disappointed. I trusted that we would be met by professionals, who would know the good spots and not just drive us around trying to find fish and good spots. I would not recommend it, especially having paid €135 per person.

    We booked a couple of single trip tickets for the two of us and had a great fun day out. The trip ran from about 8am - 2pm. There was a wee hiccup in funding the place - arrival instructions weren’t great, but once we ironed that out we set of about 45 mins late. The guys on the boat were helpful and the gear was pretty new and well maintained - all good quality stuff. We caught some bait first and then went out to deeper water for the bigger fish. We caught a dorado and a small barracuda. It wasn’t a day when they were biting - but that happens somehow. It wasn’t the guide’s fault. Nobody was catching much that day. We would have given 5 stars were it not for the rocky start to the day. They could do with improving the directions and pick up arrangements. But other than that this was the best money we’ve spent this holiday. Would recommend.
