We were pleasantly surprised by the theme park. Great rides, fabulous location and grounds and extremely helpful and pleasant staff. We visited on a weekend in April and expected to have to queue for rides. Therefore, we opted to buy the Fast Passes but at £55 each, this was a huge addition to the park entry itself. For £55 each you were entitled to 1 ride on each of the big 6 rides. Although expensive, Fast Passes are definitely the way to go if you're visiting at the weekend as some of the standard queues were 90 minutes long by 10.30 am and remained at that level throughout the day. For non-riders there is plenty to do and see whilst in the park. There are some lovely gardens to wander through and plenty of benches around the park, especially at the entrance/exit to each ride. Unfortunately a few of the rides we wanted to go on were closed both days. It seems this was due to staff shortages rather than the weather. Somewhat disappointing given the price of tickets but I guess that's a very first world problem. Overall, a great day out.

Fantastic visit. We especially loved Smiler and Oblivion! Food was expensive but that's expected. Worth getting the 2 day ticket so we could make the most of our time there. Queues weren't too bad - the most was about an hour but we were lucky with the weather - bonus! We'll be back!

Really poor experience, and not value for money. We went as a surprise for the kids, aged 7 and 12. Day 1, it was raining, nothing the park can do about that, all the rides were open and queues were ok, spent the day in the park. There doesn’t look like any maintenance had been done during the close season as the monorail was filthy, the ground in a poor state and some of the rides in need of attention. We went to check in and collect our room key. We stayed at the woodland lodges as we stayed here previously with the oldest. once we had our room key we went into the crooked spoon to book our breakfast for the next morning and told there was nothing until 1000 or 1015. We asked if we could come at opening time (0715) but told no as it was full. Then we were told that there was no availability for dinner that night, the server, Kieron very unhelpful and didn’t even take our reservation for the second morning, We had to go into Alton for dinner as nowhere had any availability. We spoke to the hotel reception staff and they passed this onto the customer relations, we got a call offering breakfast in the crooked spoon at 0715, the reservation wasn’t on the system but Sue looked after us and the 7 other families who turned up without a reservation finding a table for everyone with plenty of tables to spare! The food was tasty and a reasonable selection for all tastes. The room was in a poor state, bed not made up properly, not cleaned properly either, dust on surfaces and dirty marks on curtains. Day 2 in the park was extremely hectic, far too busy, probably because the day prior to our arrival was classed as a rainy day so those folk came into the park as well. Some of the staff were lovely, although one of the staff on Wicker Man was clearly not having a good day and was very snappy and simply rude. Dinner that night was tasty, we ate in the crooked spoon as it was the only restaurant with availability, the food was fresh and everyone left the table full. Overall it was a disappointing visit, for a number of reasons but it appears the park is only interested in making as much money without investing in customer experience, I’m not sure how soon or if we would spend the money to go back, (we spent £650 for 2 nights and 2 day park passes). I think we would put that little bit extra money aside and go to Disneyland Paris.

Stargazing pods are cosy, not full size beds! Could do with more coat hooks to keep things off floor. Good storage under beds. Heating options on or off. Catered well for allergies at the restaurants ( make a point to speak to chef, don’t let managers fob you off!). You are able to use the hotel facilities I.e bar and kids areas. If you don’t use the monorail there is actually a separate entrance for those staying on resort. Not clearly indicated by staff. Overall a nice little break away with family, good to use park over two days.
