DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR! My husband and I LOVE Devour tours and take one in each city that we visit. We always try to do it on our first full day as it is the BEST way to learn about local customs, local foods, and support, truly, family owned businesses. Athens was no exception! Melpo was amazing! She was so kind and knowledgeable and really took her time with us. We explored the meat and fish markets which are DEFINITELY a sight to see. I am not posting any pictures so as not to spoil the fun. We had SO much food that my husband and I couldn't finish our lunch! Everything was delicious, everything had a reason behind it, and Melpo was awesome at navigating the streets of Athens! Please, if you do anything, DO THIS TOUR! I promise you will not regret it!

What a great food tour. Our guide Theo was very knowledgeable on the food and history of the area. He also made sure that our children (11 &13) enjoyed the tour as much as the adults. So many stops (9?) The masticha bar was my favourite drink and the pitta place, Hoocut the kids favourite.

I showed up to the Devour food tour solo, ready to try some incredible Greek food, and meet some interesting people, and did just that! I was really lucky that the tour ended being just me and Vasiliki. Vasiliki was very enthusiastic and knowledgable. Born and raised in Athens, she was able to share stories about the culture and the food that made my experience to this beautiful unique. Walking through the meat and fish market had me imagining my life as an Athenian - it was like nothing I'd ever seen before. The food was delicious, but the stories and company were even better. Would definitely recommend :)
