Day 1: Bangkok - Kanchanaburi

An early pick up marks the start of your trip out from the fast-moving lifestyle of the Thai capital and into a more laid-back atmosphere: the ride to Kanchanaburi takes approximately 2.5 hours. Accompanied by an English speaking guide, we arrive around 9 am at our first stop in the heart of Kanchanaburi town.
The Thailand – Burma Railway Centre is a permanent exhibition showing the historical importance of the province, related to the construction of the now world-famous Death Railway.

Stop At: Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, 284/66 Sangchuto Rd, Kanchanaburi 71000 Thailand
The nearby cemetery of Allied Prisoners is now the final resting place of 6000 small tomb stones where customers can freely, yet respectfully, roam along the names of those who perished during this period.

Stop At: Bridge Over the River Kwai, Tha Makham, Kanchanaburi 71000 Thailand
Kanchanaburi’s name and fame comes from the Bridge over the River Kwai where you can take ample pictures and follow the tracks for great views over the Kwai River.

Stop At: Mon Tribal Village, Kanchanaburi Thailand
The last part to our riverside resort is done by long tail boat, where the team of Home Phutoey welcomes you. Lunch will be served at the resort’s own restaurant before we move on for a leisurely jungle walk around this lush green area of the Kwai Noi.
Highlight on this trip is visiting a Mon ethnic settlement and a local temple before making you way back to the resort for dinner and the night over.

Day 2: Kanchanaburi - Bangkok

After breakfast, we head over to the Home Phutoey Peace Park. Created by a British artist who was captured during the construction of the Death Railway, visitors will be slightly moved by the work on display here.
The nearby Weary Dunlop Museum is another example of visualising the actual situation during these.

Checking out of the resort is before 12 pm where you will head out for a local lunch before boarding the train at 1 pm for a ride over the infamous Death Railway. Part of the track still runs over the original rail road track.
At 14:30 hrs, we arrive at our end station where the driver will bring you back to Bangkok with an expected arrival time at around 6 pm.
