Be aware of scam from taxi drivers.One taxi driver Mr.Amphon insisted us to travel Damnuen saduak floating market from our Bangkok Sheraton grande sukhumvit hotel by up down costing 1000 bahts. First of all we thought that the return fare is reasonable and rather cheap. It seems to us the driver was honest but after arriving the area we were surprised that he took us far awya from real place to a distance pier. A boat manager came and asked for 2000 bahts per person, we were three so he damanded 6000 bahts. Before arriving that place I got some ideas from trip advisor about scam,but I have become victim of this situation. Due to drivers Commission from boat agency he( driver) misleads us.We wanted to change our discission and wanted to leave the place. Driver was unhappy with this, then we asked him to take us at another adjacent pier.As we are not known about the real place he took us at another place to the next. The another agent demanded 2000 bahts for a whole boat for 3 persons. We are happy at that price though it is rather high from actual place. The weather was hot, the narrow canals were full of dirt and the shops were almost closed.we concluded our trip for one hour. It was an unpleasant journey with family.I will not recommend anyone to go there by taxi cab rather suggest to go there by tour operators package.
