Enjoy this private trip with true taste of Dalí's surreal perspective.
Castle of Púbol, a medieval building, which Dalí renovated as a palace for his wife Gala.
When Dalí bought the castle, it was in a very poor state: he made a palace by himself. Salvador Dalí used the walls and semi-collapsed ceilings in a very intelligent way, creating unsuspected spaces of very different sizes. The interior decoration was made of pictorial representations on the walls, false arquitectures, baroque textiles, antiques, romantic symbols, etc. The result is a closed, mysterious, private, austere and sober place, with spaces of great beauty.
Drive up to Figueres the hometown of legendary Catalan artist Salvador Dali, where you can visit the Museum.
The Dalí Theatre-Museum stands as one of the strangest museums in all of Europe.
Filling the former theater with some of his most unique works, such as paintings that seem to transform from different vantage points or others which are only visible through secretly placed mirrors, Dalí was able to design his very own museum.
In describing how he envisioned the collection, Dalí once proclaimed "I want my museum to be a single block, a labyrinth, a great surrealist object. It will be [a] totally theatrical museum. The people who come to see it will leave with the sensation of having had a theatrical dream."
You can opt to experience one of the best sparkling wine, which have drunk every day Salvador Dali with his muse Gala with winery visit (10 euro per person, 4 wines included).
Also you could have a lunch in traditional Catalan style at the restaurant, where Dali and Gala ate.
