Overview

See a different side of Barcelona, on this 4-hour bike ride off the beaten path.

Ride in small groups of just 8 people max. (plus guide), and feel a closer connection to the city.

Discover obscure but beautiful attractions such as the Hospital de Sant Pau, and the amazing neoclassical cemetery of Poblenou.

This activity is not about seeing the major sights and hearing facts you could read in a guidebook, it's all about heading out on your bike to parts of the city that many locals don't even know about, in the company of a knowledgeable and passionate guide!

No two tours are the same, but some of the cool experiences that await you include visiting a flea market, learning about Barcelona's art nouveau and modern architecture, admiring street art, stopping for pastries and tapas in a local bar, and riding along Barceloneta beach.

Our small group ethos means that, unlike standard bike tours of the city, you’ll not only be learning about Barcelona, you’ll be living it too!

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar, Placa Santa Maria 1, 08003 Barcelona Spain

On most tours we pass by this sensational Gothic masterpiece and admire the rose-window façade, before exploring the rest of El Born.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: El Born, La Ribera, Ciutat Vella, 08003 Barcelona Spain

We love to show travellers the hidden back streets of the Born district, full of secrets, boutiques, artisan shops and cosy cafes.... the central 'square' used to be a medieval jousting ground!

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Parc de la Ciutadella, Passeig de Picasso, 21, 08003 Barcelona Spain

This gorgeous park is named after the citadel that once sat here. We explore its many points of interest, including a fountain partially-designed by Gaudi, and get some oxygen in our lungs.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Torre Agbar, Pl. de les Glories, 08018 Barcelona Spain

This phallic-shaped wonder is one of the most iconic buildings in Barcelona. We marvel at its multi-hued exterior and discuss the modernisation of the city.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Los Encantes Barcelona, Carrer de los Castillejos, 158 Avinguda Meridiana,73, 08013 Barcelona Spain

We often stop off at this charming old flea market and shop for kitsch souvenirs, or stop for a snack. The entire area has been revitalised in recent years.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: El Poblenou, Barcelona Spain

This former industrial district is full of treasures, such as modern parks, neoclassical cemeteries, street art, superblocks, and dazzling new architectural projects. Its quieter than the centre and ideal for cycling around.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Port Olimpic, Port Olimpic, Barcelona, Catalonia

Built for the 1992 Olympic Games this shining white marina transformed Barcelona's coast and is full of bars, clubs and modern sculptures... like Frank Gehry's golden fish.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Playa de La Barceloneta, Paseo Maritimo Barceloneta, 14, 08003 Barcelona Spain

No cycle ride in Barcelona is complete without a ride along the beach. We normally reserve this route for the way home, enjoying the sun on our faces and the carnival atmosphere of this crazy playa.

Elisa was an excellent guide! Nice slow pace through several neighborhoods allowing us to get a feel for the area.. Great history provided. Nice lunch stop at a market. This was at our own cost and well worth it. Overall the bike tour was the highlight of my trip to Barcelona!

One of our favourite activities in Barcelona. It was an easy leisurely ride and we got to see many places we wouldn’t have visited on foot. Our guide Elisa was very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

This tour would have been a great introduction to the city...too bad we did it on our last day in Barcelona! covering the beach and port areas, the old city, adn the Born area, we covered most of the areas that you'd want to visit on a visit to Barcelona. The mix of cycling and stopping to talk about the buildings and history was well thought out.... our guide, Augustin, had an interesting story to share each time we stopped, and bathroom/food breaks were nicely spread out through the 4 hours. We took a lot of small street though the city that we for sure wouldn't have gone on our own if we'd just rented bikes. Thanks Augustine!

The cycling tour was amazing with our guide Bella. She was very knowledgeable in the history of Barcelona. She gave us lots of interesting information about the city with some humour and with her warm and caring personality. This was one of our favourite cycling tour mostly due to Bella ‘s positive energy. Miss you Bella ❤️

We absolutely loved our bike tour! Mariana was terrific: she guided our small group of four with a nice balance of inspiration at a relaxed pace; it was informative and gave us interesting insights into the history and culture of Barcelona. We highly recommend this tour and especially Mariana.😊
