Expanish is an Argentina-based language school with a location in Barcelona. I studied a 6-month intensive course in summer 2023. Variable teacher quality, with an emphasis on speaking and oral communication. Poorly maintained classrooms with poor climate control. I suffered from heat exhaustion, by surprise, but my doctor said it could happen again. I requested a room change, but was assigned the same hot and stuffy room. After I suffered from heat exhaustion a second time, they did change us to a different room. This time, one that required a sweater in the middle of summer. The administration prioritized students with shorter stays over the longer-term students. For example, to accommodate new short-term students, we were switched from morning to afternoon classes with a few days’ notice. I had a schedule conflict and lost a week of classes, as did at least one other student. Not recommend for longer-term courses or serious students.
