This was the most anticipated of the 4 excursions we booked!! Highly recommend wearing the dust mask and goggles at all times as soon as you start the ATV and even covering ears with the dust mask as it gets SUPER windy and the sand in any facial opening doesn’t feel good and is hard to get out later. Jerry and Sarah communicated thoroughly with directions on how to find them and how to drive the ATVs. If you want pictures of yourself at different places, just ask because they may not offer but they’re happy to do it! Way too windy to eat lunch at the green sand beach in my opinion and I washed my whole half hour there to be full of exploring, enjoying, and photographing, so maybe just water and a protein bar until you can eat lunch after?
Jerry was such an amazing tour guide! Words cant express how truly awesome he was with us. Jerry was soooo patient with us and our picture taking. He knew all the best spots and recommended great places. He kept us safe and was patient in explaining the safety mechanisms of his machine. He stopped to show us historic and scenic spots while explaining the importance behind them. He was great at communicating. Would definitely do again and recommend. Bonus, he let us rinse off the dust when we got back. Wonderful family, him and his wife.
This was a great way to see part of The Big Island that is off the beaten track! Amazing guide and host in a small group!! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for this type of adventure!
