This full day excursion was one of the favorite days my husband and I had on our Italian vacation. The tour of the dairy farm/Parmigiano factory was amazing!! To learn and see up close the age-old process that is still in place gave me such a huge appreciation for the art of cheese making. We felt the same with the balsamic tour in Modena. To truly see and understand the time and patience invested in such fantastic products has caused me to love Italy that much more. In general, it seems as if many traditional food artisans still embrace what generations did before them. We also loved the delicious traditional lunch served with some real balsamic vinegar (let's face it, it's REAL everything). We moved onto the tour and tasting at Lambrusco and ended up with a fantastic guide who had so many great stories to share and her English was great, too! We enjoyed the tasting as well and bought a few bottles to enjoy later. The Ferrari Museum was pretty impressive (especially for my husband). I loved watching most of the men in the museum walk around in such disbelief at what they were seeing. All of these experiences throughout the day were, in our opinion, once-in-a-lifetime events. So if there is any hesitation, set it aside and do it!!

Our day trip from Bologna was awesome! The driver was really nice and friendly. The folks at the cheese and balsamic farms knew their stuff and were super helpful. And lunch at the balsamic vinegar makers' home in the countryside house near Modena? It was just amazing! Thanks for the experience ⭐️

All in all a great excursion. All our local guides knew their business very well and explained it so easy to follow and understand. They took us to great places for cheese and vinegar production. Would do it again!
