Really liked the format of gathering items to enjoy together at the end. Our guide Alex asked for our input on different items, so we got to choose what we were interested in trying. Overall it was a very interesting tour with a great mix of history and food while walking around the city!
We did a walking food tour with Bordeaux in Bites on a recent trip to France. It was absolutely a highlight of our 2 weeks trip and we're still talking about everything we saw and tasted weeks later at home. Alex was an incredible tour guide who was so knowledgable and passionate about everything we saw and tasted as well as Bordeaux in general and local restaurants and cocktail bars. We loved seeing local businesses and meeting the owners and people who worked there, all of whom seemed to take so much pride in what they make. We cannot recommend Bordeaux in Bites highly enough! We would absolutely do this again.
Alex was incredible with his knowledge, enthusiasm and passion. Carefully chosen excellent artisan shops for food. Ending in a beautiful food and wine pairing bar. Couldn’t recommend Alex or the places highly enough. A must do tour.
We had a great time with Alexandre on our tour. There were only the 4 of us. We loved Alexandre not only giving us insight into the food but also gave us history of Bordeaux. This was a great way to learn about Bordeaux.
I am committed foodie who has done tours in many cities the world over, and I can say without hesitation that the Bordeaux in Bites tour is among the best I have experienced. My guide Alexandre was deeply knowledgeable about the history of bread, cheese, charcuterie and wine, those four staples of French food, and he shared fascinating accounts of their history as we made our way through the gorgeous streets of Bordeaux. We visited a marvelous bakery making the highest quality organic breads, a cheese shop with one of the most beautiful collections of cheese I have seen, and a charming shop for local dessert fave Canelés (as it was Monday, the charcuteries were closed). At each store, Alexandre loaded up on specialties, which we shared during the second half of the three-hour tour in a wine bar drinking delicious wines as we discussed the history and culture of French food and French culture. The tour was both deeply educational and wildly gastronomic. A truly fantastic way to spend three hours in Bordeaux!
