Top of my Elvis must-see list! Matthew Boyce portrays Elvis to a T: authentic costumes, vocals, moves, and mannerisms. This show goes through his entire career, told from the perspective of his mother Gladys. It's truly a STORY of the King. Very unique. There's a live band, backup vocalists, and several audience engagement moments. It's in its 3rd season and each year they've made some great changes and improvements.

Show was just OK. I've seen several Elvis impersonators over the years, and I'd rate this show as average at best. My advice is to save your money. There are better entertainment options in Branson.

This is the second time that we’ve watched “Elvis: Story of a King” the last few years. What made this night special was that my 9-year old son was dressed up in his Elvis suit, glasses, and sideburns. Before his intermission, Matthew spotted him and talked to him from the stage. He asked him in favorite songs and makes general conversation. When we went to get our $10 picture they said it was on them and didn’t make us pay dime. Once the second half started and the set was about over, Matthew played Suspicious Minds (my son’s favorite). After the first verse and chorus, he invited my son up to sing and dance with him. The crowd loved it and cheered him on. When the song was over, Matthew talked to him about being an Elvis fan and talked about how he started about the same time. He even went as far as to give him his own Elvis ring to keep. This night was something my son and my family will never forget. Matthew Boyce and Americana Theater is one that I want to continue to support every time I go to Branson.

This show was excellent. We were very entertained by this unique, high energy show. If you’ve seen Elvis impersonator shows, this show is very different. As the title says, the show is a “story”, and a very interesting and well presented take on a familiar story - the story of Elvis’s career and its impact of the world. And THE VOICE and THE MOVES were fabulous!
