Itinerary
This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and confidently navigate your way through the hills and mountains. The course will consist of both virtual and in-person sessions.
Virtual Session: Zoom Meeting
The first session of the course will take place on Zoom. During this session, we will introduce you to the basics of hill walking, including:
Planning and preparation
Navigation
Safety
Leave No Trace
In-Person Session: Day Hike
The second session of the course will be an in-person day hike. During this session, you will have the opportunity to put your newly acquired skills into practice. The day hike will be led by our experienced instructors, who will guide you through a scenic route and help you to navigate any challenging terrain. The day hike will be suitable for beginners, and we will adjust the pace to suit the group's ability level. We recommend that you wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, and bring a packed lunch and snacks.
