Itinerary

Day 1: Dunster - Exmoor National Park - Tintagel Castle - Falmouth

Pass By: Exmoor National Park, Exmoor National Park, England
You’ll stop in at cute villages and enjoy a scenic drive through Exmoor National Park, a beautiful mix of moorland, woodland, coast and rivers. We like to keep things flexible this morning, so your driver-guide will touch base with you throughout the day.

Stop At: Dunster, Dunster, Exmoor National Park, England
We stop in at Dunster, which we think you'll just love. This medieval village is dominated by its Norman Castle, which you can view as you wander the village.
You have time here for a comfort and coffee stop before we head over to our next destination
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Tintagel Castle Castle Road, Tintagel PL34 0HE England
After lunch, you visit the incredible ruins of Tintagel Castle. Sitting snug on the clifftops of North Cornwall, this historic 13th-century castle is believed to be the birthplace of King Arthur.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Falmouth, Falmouth, Cornwall, England
We depart Tintagel and head for the coastal city of Falmouth, our overnight base for the next two nights.
Duration: 3 hours

No meals included on this day.
Accommodation included: Overnight in Falmouth

Day 2: St Ives - Land's End - Minack Theatre - Marazion

Stop At: St Ives, St Ives, Cornwall, England
The day begins with a visit to one of Cornwall’s most loved destinations: the fishing town of St Ives. Get in touch with your inner seaside dweller as you wander this idyllic harbour town. If cobbled streets, cottages, and sandy beaches are your thing; you’ll love St Ives.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Land's End, Land's End, Cornwall, England
Your next destination is a must in our opinion. Land’s End is a legendary spot that has inspired people since ancient Greek times when it was referred to as ‘Belerion’, or ‘Place of the Sun’. If you’re looking for that epic viewpoint for the perfect photo, this is it.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Minack Theatre, Porthcurno, Penzance TR19 6JU England
Onwards for a lunch break in perhaps one of the strangest places for a meal you could go to: an open-air theatre perched atop rugged cliffs. Yes, we’re talking about the incredible Minack Theatre.

*Please note that due to availability, we may be unable to visit this theatre. Your guide will let you know as you go.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Marazion, Marazion, Cornwall, England
Last stop of the day is in Marazion, where you’ll get a chance for a photo of the jaw-dropping St Michael’s Mount. This rocky island is home to a medieval church and castle, and is England’s very own Mont Saint-Michel.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Stop At: Falmouth, Falmouth, Cornwall, England
You head back to Falmouth tonight to enjoy a meal and the memories of the day.
Duration: 2 hours

No meals included on this day.

Your adventure in Dartmoor National Park continues with a visit to the rocky granite outcrops of Haytor before you head to Exeter for the evening.
Duration: 2 hours

No meals included on this day.
Accommodation included: Overnight in Exeter

Day 4: Durdle Door - Shaftesbury - Stonehenge - Bristol

Stop At: Durdle Door, Wareham BH20 5PU England
The last day of your tour doesn’t pull any punches and for those of you who love the seaside, you’ll adore today’s stops, such as Durdle Door, one of Dorset’s most photographed landmarks, and the uniqueness of Lulworth Cove.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Shaftesbury, Shaftesbury, Dorset, England
Then you’re off to Shaftesbury, which is the epitome of a quaint English market town. It also has a fascinating history going back to Saxon times.
Duration: 45 minutes

The final stop of the day is the iconic and mind-boggling Stonehenge. It’s been around for around 5,000 years and to this day, people still flock to it in wonder. You among them? There are plenty of legends surrounding these massive stones and how they ended in such a formation.

We toured with Rabbie's from Bristol to Cornwall and Devon...what an amazing trip! We enjoy the small group tours for many reasons: comfort, ability to go a bit off the beaten track, and the camaraderie with fellow travelers and the driver/guide. Cornwall and Devon are very beautiful and we visited many incredible places; I cannot choose a favorite. Read the Rabbie's itinerary and go! Our driver/guide Barney is one of the most friendly, knowledgeable, and interesting people you could ever meet! He is also a very skilled driver and can navigate tiny hedged backroads while telling fascinating history and tales. Barney, thank you for making our trip so incredibly fun!

Disappointing amount of time in Falmouth also paid to go to Tintagel Castle we ended up only having an hour and 15 minutes here. Not enough time

Recently, I returned from my holidays; it was a memorable experience. We were a small group of eight who bonded well during the trip, and Barny, our skipper, made everything perfect! ‘Barny the Bard’ is full of stories; we heard about Lorna Doone, Tom Faggus and his strawberry mare Winnie, Jamaica Inn, Mary Anning, and not to forget, the temperamental cows, among others. We enjoyed great music on our way, too; got loads of information on local celebrated singers, bands and their performances. We enjoyed Cornish dancing at the Front pub in Falmouth; some of us even joined in with the local dancers and John! Kudos to you all! Those of us too timid to explore or exhibit our ‘hidden talents’ tapped our feet to the lively music. This trip was not about going from point A to B, but truly a unique, culturally enriching experience. We could connect to the significance, cultural history and vibe of the places that we visited, thanks to Barny. My visit to the Minack theatre was a tranquil therapeutic treat sitting on the steps, looking out into the ocean, so were the wild, enticing moors and Haytor. Lyme Regis invigorated the Jane Austen connection to my core. The villages on the way and those we visited were picturesque and enchanting. Even the weather was exceptionally gracious! We had a couple of senior members in our group, and Barny took utmost care to make the trip comfortable and enjoyable for them. All I can suggest is that Rabbie’s can make it a weeklong trip to allow time around the Devon cliffs. It was a great experience and will remain vivid in our memories. I would highly recommend this trip to my friends and colleagues.

As paisagens e locais onde paramos eram incríveis. Foi sempre fácil ter acesso a comida e bebida local. O tamanho de grupo foi o adequado para uma experiência menos massificada. O guia/motorista foi muito competente, seguro, conhecedor, simpático e sempre com um pouco de humor britânico!
