The tour started with our guide Laurence (just call me Loz) picking us up from the motel. He made us feel like we were old friends meeting up for an adventure and the days just flew by. The knowledge and passion shown by Loz for a part of our country I never knew was informative and eye opening. Every day had me waking up early in anticipation of what wonderful sights the new day would display. Loz was always willing to assist with any issue, nothing was a bother. I had really high expectations for this holiday and I was not disappointed. If you want to see what the top end has to offer without the hassle of driving and planning, book this trip of a lifetime.

We just completed the 9 day tour to Cape York with Darryl as our guide. My husband and I had the most amazing time. We loved every minute of this tour. Darryl was the best guide. His knowledge was second to none. The best was definitely saved for last when we reached the tip of Australia. It is a holiday we will never forget. Such good memories forever. Thanks Darryl from Geoff and Lisa Wells

Thank you very much to Discovery Tours, and in particular to our 2 guides Darryl and Laurence for a wonderful experience. We were well looked after by our guides and their knowledge and understanding of aboriginal culture and bush foods and plants was very welcome. We travelled over a few rough roads, but that was part of the experience. Accomodation was varied, but we were out bush and there aren’t too many 5 star hotel/motels out there. We travelled in 2 Toyota Landcruisers with 6 guests plus guide in each. This whole experience was an eye opener, mainly thanks to Darryl and Laurence. Do yourself a favour and jump online and book your tour. The highlight was getting a photo at the Tip and ticking that off my bucket list.

8 days 7 nights Cairns to the Cape Trip We wanted a more personal family oriented trip with the usual highlights, but with more indigenous orientation history and culture. Day 1 Darryl arrived with a smile and instantly made us and kids feel welcome and at ease. Every day he made suggestions for photo opportunities and gave us information on the European and Indigenous history of the area we were visiting. Stopping to give the children a toilet or r&r break was never an issue for Darryl. He even remembered their comfort before we asked. As the days went on we knew we were in the hands of the right person and had chosen to travel with the right company. You always want value for money on any holiday and Discovery Tours certainly provided that. An added bonus of having Darryl share his culture and roguish sense of fun with us made it an experience to remember. The youngest to the oldest (8 to 74) all enjoyed our time with Darryl. The kids hugged him goodbye like an uncle at the end of the trip. His laid back nature with the children made the trip easier for the adults to relax and enjoy the trip. If I had to criticise, a minor criticism would be we would have liked more time for the kids to swim in the awesome waterfalls. However that was a minor blip on an overall fantastic trip. We are already looking at another trip with Discovery but only if it’s with Darryl Thanks Chris, Darryl and the Discovery Tours company. Loris, Rich Jo, Sam & Emma
