My husband and I regularly travel to different parts of the UK and have already been to Cambridge about 15 years ago. This time we wanted to know more about the history of the city and especially of the different colleges there. Veronica Speirs was our guide and we enjoyed every minute of the tour. She could answer all our questions and she gave us interesting details about The Eagle and the RAF Pub. She also told us about the most famous scientists that studied and lectured at the different colleges, which we found very interesting. She even advised us to go on one of the boat tours the next day to enjoy the view on the ancient university buildings from the river Cam.

A lovely walking tour of central Cambridge with Veronica Speirs our guide was relaxed and friendly with a wonderful knowledge of the city . As a Cambridge resident Veronica was able to offer some of her own personal insights of life in the city as well. I live in East Anglia and have visited Cambridge a number of times so it was lovely to do a walking tour this time which provided an historical context of the city and so much more. Really enjoyed the the fascinating although poignant history of The Eagle pub.ith

Sophie Smiley was great. She asked us questions and talked at length of a wide range of topics. She has family who work at the University and knows a lot of interesting facts. If you have a area of interest she will give you more fascinating anecdotes on that subject.
