This is a special place in so many ways. Special because everyone there wants you to have a good time whether it is the people in the restaurants or the Safari Guides. Our guide just bought the place alive. Special because they work with rescue animals that now roam freely and who are well looked after and very healthy. Special because it has provided enormous job opportunities for people in the local area. People who take enormous pride in their jobs. Special because they my grandchildren got to see animals up close.

You need to pay Felix Batende for our trip to the Reserve? Thanks. Because he delivered us to the reserve. Because we had no internet to get any contact.

We saw more than we expected - hippos, rhinos, zebras, cape buffalo, elephants, giraffe, lion, baboon, eland. Our guide was knowledgeable and got us quite close the most of the animals. The lunch buffet was very good and we were greeted with a welcome drink.

This place is not about animals; it is about money. They employ a lot of people which is good but this is simply a drive thru zoo. I felt sorry for the animals. Hundreds of people going by them within a few minutes. This is a place for day trippers which makes for noise and mayhem. Decent buffet. 26 to a “safari truck.” They claim they are the real Africa. No way, Jose. If you have the money, go to Sanbona.

It was nice. It was about 2.5 hrs. Learning and seeing the animals was very interesting. I wish there were more animals to see but it was a good experience. I love the set up point they have in the reserve for breaks & a drink.
