Join us on a breathtaking sunrise hike up Lion's Head, one of Cape Town's most iconic landmarks. Our experienced and certified guides will lead you on a journey through the natural beauty of the mountain and the surrounding landscape. As the sun rises over the city, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the coastline and the Mother City below!

The hike is moderate in difficulty and takes about 1-2 hours to complete, depending on your pace. Along the way, you'll encounter a variety of terrain, including rocky paths, grassy slopes, and the famous chain ladders. Our guide will provide instruction and support throughout the hike, ensuring that you have a safe and enjoyable experience.

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

The most Insta-famous landmark in Cape Town! We will be hiking up for either a sunrise or sunset hike up Lions Head's circular trail to the summit. The Hike is moderate and will take roughly 3-4 hours in total. The trail is gradual, well-used, and enjoyable and no prior mountain hiking experience is required. The only thing that is required is your camera!

    Yvette was a fantastic guide for lion’s head. She was incredibly well equipped and made the hike super enjoyable but also ensured we felt really safe and in good hands. She was also really knowledgeable about the area and the floral diversity on the mountain… and even hand baked brownies! We would definitely hike with Yvette again.

    What an experience! Yvette was truly the perfect guide for us on this hike. It was my first time handling such an open hike and heights and she kept my husband and I very comfortable and engaged. We never felt rushed and she was such a pleasant friend to chat with too! She also took seriously epic photos for us! Highly recommend this hike with Yvette!

    Yvette was just the perfect guide. She made sure we were completely comfortable the whole way through and we never felt rushed. She was also very encouraging and patient. It was also much welcomed how she shared much about the nature on Lion’s Head and about Cape Town in general with us. She took great photos for us as well. We would recommend her for sure!
