We had a day full of incredible experiences. Andy, our excellent guide, brought us to the ocean kayaking with the penguins, then we walked to the viewing area for closer looks. Next he took us to the Cape Point Lighthouse, where the views were stunning! Then we cycled for about an hour around the area. It was an awesome day! The time flew by!

I have done three private tours with Awol Tours as I was visiting Cape Town by myself. The idea was to get a professional travel agency to organize some visits during my short visit in Cape Town to enjoy and see as much as possible. What a good idea! The first tour was the Cape Peninsula Tour. My guide, Shaun, is an excellent tour guide. He knows a lot about the country, the city, the wildlife in general, the flowers, and the mountains. He is passionate about what he does and wants to share it with you. The cycling tour in the Cape of Good Hope National Park is nice as well as the cycling ride on Chapman’s Peak. The van is here to pick up your bike if you don’t want to cycle anymore. The flexibility is at maximum. The following day, I went to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek to visit the vineyards and taste some wines. My guide, Peter, was friendly. He talked about people’s lives in Cape Town, and the history of the city. I had a lovely time, cycling in the vineyards and doing some stops for the (three) wine tastings. My third and last day tour was a hike at Table Mountain. My guide, Andy, was born and raised in Cape Town. He kept saying that he loved his city and the people. While we were hiking, he stopped often to look at the various flowers or listened to the birds in the trees (i.e sugarbird). He loves the nature. He is a passionate tour guide. I should have taken notes 😊 but not easy when you hike. I had a lovely time during these three days. A special thanks to Helen, behind the scenes, who organized the tours in only one week. The communication was great and smooth. As I was traveling by myself, it was an excellent idea to trust Awol Tours. I can only recommend Awol Tours.

AWOL again provided us an absolutely superb experience. After an epic mountain biking trip last year in Stellenbosch, this year we did road biking on the cape peninsula and mountain biking in the Stellenbosch mountains. The guides are super knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. They tailor trips to suit your abilities and goals. And they deliver! I highly recommend AWOL and will use them again and again!

This bike tour was one of the highlights of our whole trip to South Africa! We started off by visiting the penguin colony, then did a nice hike by the Cape of Good Hope, then biked through the Cape Peninsula National Park. The landscape was beautiful and we saw unforgettable views. We stopped for a delicious lunch in Simon's town and then got back on our bikes. Our guide, Jeremy, was so friendly and knowledgeable. He was great to talk to and really appreciates the culture and history of South Africa and the world. He even stopped in a township at the end of our trip. We would definitely recommend this trip!

AWOL tours and in particular our guide Bevan was amazing - on time, informative, interesting and very good with our 2 girls - we had an excellent tour seeing the penguins at Boulders beach and then cycling around the national park. The animals were even on good form and we saw ostrich, baboons, zebra, and eland. Stop off at Cape Point for photos and a walk up to the lighthouse and then a very scenic drive with lunch stop on the way back. Bevan kept the girls going with interesting animal facts and plenty of snacks. We were so impressed with the tour that we also signed up to the Masiphumelele township bike tour.
