Overview

The best of what to do in Cape Town combined on this day tour. Travelers learn the history of South Africa through a visit to Robben Island. This is a rare opportunity to follow the footsteps of the world statesman Nelson Mandela and have photos taken right in his former cell.

Learn about the social ill of apartheid and how it affected the ex-political prison fighters and the majority at large. A visit to this island lays bare all the social ills currently faced in the country and how far the country has gone in entrenching forgiveness among the general populace.

The outstanding views of the city of Cape Town and Table Mountain from Robben Island are something one can never forget. A visit to the wineries is so relaxed and makes you forget about the bad history of the country. It is something special since it is done in the most relaxed environment than any other tour. There is also an opportunity to learn the history of South Africa with the coming of the Dutch being central.

We really had a blast. The experience was amazing and their service was out of this world. One could feel at ease knowing one was in the hands of some of the most experienced guides when it came to treating clients and setting the perfect mood and atmosphere. I have to say in my own opinion the Stellenbosch Wineries is one magical place it is absolutely satisfying being there.

Good to know about Nelson Mandela’s incerceration from an ordinary man’s point of view. This tour is so informative and crafted by Flamboyant Tours based in Cape Town. Great historical information from ex-prisoners is the main highlight especially knowing he was imprisoned at the same time with Mandela. Later a visit to Babylonstoren Winery is totally out of this world. This winery is packed with activities I will definitely return and spend the whole day there. Thanks to Flamboyant Travel and Tours for such an experience.

This is a well planned and well executed tour which provides an insight into the history of South Africa especially pre independence Era. The boat to Robben Island was full you capacity muchvyo our surprise considering this is winter in Cape Town. The upside of this tour is being taken to Mandela's cell and part of the prisoner by an ex-prisoner. This guide is gullbof information and has even written a book on Robben Island prison experience. The later part of the tour was a visit to Stellenbosch wineries which is a self standing attraction on note. Don't mind doing this tour again cause of it's value. Thanks to Raw Tours for such an outstanding tour combination.
