Overview

On this day trip to Cardiff, the capital of Wales we will be met on arrival by a local guide for a panoramic tour of the city. After this we head down to Cardiff Bay, a great natural harbour and the estuary of the River Taff, where you will be able to get lunch by the water.

After lunch we’ll continue our tour through the seaside town of Penarth before travelling back into the centre of Cardiff. We will conclude our time in Cardiff with a visit to Cardiff Castle, a fortress with a 2000-year history, from beginning life as a humble Roman Fort to the Romantic Victorian splendour of today.

One day tour excellent. Bus driver very courteous of his passengers. Tour guide Steven was great. Trip to Cardiff informative and entertaining.

I got 2 emails that this trip was canceled but also was still receiving emails about the upcoming trip. I was offered an alternative trip, but when I asked for details, no one responded. I am still waiting on a response from both Anderson and La Vacanza Travel about my refund.

As was warned by other tourists who had been in this tour, it was a long bus ride to and from London/Cardiff. The Tour Guide was in Cardiff and we met him by about 12:00 noon. We were not informed though that the Tour Guide will be in Cardiff therefore we were wondering what to expect since there was nothing going on during the bus ride from 8:15 to 12 noon, we were not sure if the bus driver was also the Tour Guide (just like the other tours we had where the tour guide was also the driver) but the bus driver was not saying anything during the ride, thus we were like “are we doing the tour on our own? Are we to explore Cardiff by ourselves?” We were just happy to meet the Tour Guide by mid-day, he did his best to share information about the important places in Cardiff. This tour is 2/3 of the time just sitting (eating or sleeping) on the bus and 1/3 actual tour of Cardiff, due to the distance between London and Cardiff. I was just interested to see a part of Wales even for a short time so I booked this trip (at least one checked-off from my bucket list). Many thanks to the driver who drove us to and from Cardiff safely and thanks to the Tour Guide ( sorry, I forgot his name) as well.

Amazing day trip to Cardiff. Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. We did a bus tour in Cardiff and stopped at different attractions to walk around and take pictures.

I went to the Cardiff day tour with my husband. It was a great day out, very enjoyable. The wales local guide was brilliant. He had complete knowledge. He showed us all the main sights and gave detailed history of each in a very friendly way. We visited Cardiff castle, Cardiff bay, sea side town of penarth and other main sights of the city. We strongly recommend Anderson tours. Their tours are very well crafted and planned so they can show the maximum to their customers. Pamela Jain
