Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Wat Rong Khun, Lahaul-Spiti Pa O Don Chai Subdistrict, Chiang Rai 57000 Thailand

Rong Khun Temple is unique from other temples in that it has been constructed entirely in a radiant white color with sparking reflections from mirrored glass mosaics embedded in the white plaster. The temple is the idea of Mr. Chalermchai Kositpipat, one of Thailand most renowned artists, who wanted to build a temple all in white to signify the purity of Lord Buddha. The artist continues to puts his religious belief and desire to enrich Buddhism in Thailand into his contemporary art design.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Baan Dam Museum, 333 Moo 13, Nang Lae, Chiang Rai 57100 Thailand

207 Km. drive from the middle of Chiang Mai city to Baan Dam (Black House) is the unique creation of national artist, Thawan Duchanee. Part art studio, part museum, part home, Baan Dam is an eclectic mix of traditional northern Thai buildings interspersed with some outlandish modern designs. Baan Dam is a thought-provoking combination of sanuk, the surreal and the sombre and whilst it’s fair to say that some of the artwork and themes on display won’t be to everybody’s liking, I’d still recommend checking out the Black House if you are visiting Chiang Rai.

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Wat Rong Seur Ten (Blue Temple), 306, Moo 2 Maekok Rd Rim Kok, Chiang Rai 57100 Thailand

Chiang Rai Blue Temple or Wat Rong Seua Ten is located in Rong Suea Ten in the district of Rimkok a few kilometers outside Chiang Rai. It is a recent temple which is still under construction even if its main hall is now completed. It is above all its magnificent blue interior with a large white Buddha that marks the spirits. The paintings are reminiscent of the style of what you can see inside the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun). The great standing Buddha, also white, standing in front of the back, is also superb. Between the White Temple, the Black House and the Blue Temple, Chiang Rai is definitely the city of colorful temples!

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Karen Long Neck Village, Baan Tong Luang Mae Raem, Mae Rim 50180 Thailand

Visiting one of the numerous Karen Long Neck villages in Thailand is one of the most exotic experiences on the planet. The mystery and beauty that sound the tradition of using brass rings for exaggerated jewelry is something better seen in person than in a book. We had ethical questions on if it these hill tribe villages would feel like human zoos, but thankfully we decided to visit anyway. It is a real-life National Geographic Magazine experience to have to see to believe.

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Mae Khachan Hot Spring, Mae Chedi Mai, Wiang Pa Pao 57260 Thailand

Mae Khachan Hot Springs is in Wiang Pa Pao, Chiang Rai. The thermal waters can be experienced at a number of locations in this district, but for the onward traveler this means right next to the main Chiang Mai – Chiang Rai Highway 118 (on both sides of the road).
Most tour operators will describe this as an attraction, but to be honest your driver needs a break half way to Chiang Rai, and will stop whether you want to or not!

The guide was hard to understand, short and did not have a lot of detailed information on the temples. The driver was driving fast around corners making others feel unsafe. I would not recommend this tour again.

The guide and the sites were amazing. The only downside and why I am giving this a four is the transportation. Yes it had A/C but for such a long trip it was very crammed. I would suggest to anyone looking to visit these temples to make the effort and book 2 night stay in Chiang Rai. If you do this, you will avoid the 6 hour car ride(3hrs there and 3hrs back) You will also be able to reach the temples bright and early avoiding all the crowds.

A very fulfilling trip. The guide was not only passionate, But Also really funny. He explained a lot of history behind each temple, and each creator. He cracked good jokes and took well care of us. Made sure we had water, ate when we had lunch and reminded us to always Ask if there was any problem or question. Felt safe and taken care of through the whole trip. Driver was Also very good and skilled. Would recommend everyone

If you’re looking for a small group tour, skip this one. We booked it because it said small max 10 people. However they pick you up in a van and then bring you to a location where there is a coach bus waiting - over 30+ people. The tour started at 7am waiting for the van and was supposed to go 11 hours however we did not get back to the hotel until 9:45pm (15 hours). Lunch was provided however breakfast is on your own and so is dinner (ours was at the last rest stop -gas station). Try and eat prior or you will be very hungry and looking for food at rest stops. The temples were great but certainly not worth a 15 hour trip. Very long day with a lot of waiting for the large group of people.
