Overview

Stretching an impressive 200 km and deepening up to 85 meters, Mileștii Mici is the ultimate playground for wine lovers. These cellars are home to more than two million bottles of wine and have been listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest wine collection in the world. The winery is like an underground city, as the winding tunnels have been given street names to help people navigate them. Just a perfect place for a bike quest.

What Can You Expect?

After only half an hour drive from Chisinau, we'll arrive at Milestii Mici, the largest underground winery in the world. Here, everybody will get a bike and start the guided tour. Prepare yourself for a 5 km bike thought limestone cellars, wine barrels and the hidden wine collection. By the end of the tour you will be rewarded with a wine tasting of 3 different wines, accompanied by several types of bruschetta. While enjoying the wine in the tasting hall, we will have the chance to be part of a live folk performance.

    The tour was really nice and I learned a lot about Moldovan wine production at this winery and also in general. The tour was well organized, they collected me at my hotel and also dropped me of afterwards. Communication was prompt and professional. I recommend it.

    Exploring these vast wine cellars by bike is magnificent. With our guide Katerina’s fun and informative guiding along the way we pedalled towards the impressively decorated tasting room where we got to try 3 great wines. This is one of the must do-things in friendly Moldova!

    Driver was on time, he even picked me up at my hotel. It’s a short ride to the winery. The bike ride was a fun experience. You get to taste three wines and they gift you a bottle as a souvenir.

    this tour was so worth it, the driver guide picked us up at our hotel and dropped us back off after tour/biking/wine tasting was over. Very pleasant to talk to and showed us some of the outskirts of Chisinau that we hadn't seen. The Bikes were sturdy and adequate and the cellar was amazing inside. A bit dark but i guess it has to be for the climate to be consistently cool. Overall a great experience. The wine and bruschettas were delicious too.

    Brilliant experience and a must do when in Moldova whether you are a wine lover or not. The wine caves are incredible and cycling through them is a unique experience. Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable on everything to do with Moldova. Highly recommend
