We travel all over the world and we’ve used TripAdvisor/La Vacanza Travel on several occasions over the past several years.. this was by far the worst so called tour/adventure we have ever taken.. we basically hired a driver .. he had no dialogue prepared for the day, seldom spoke, had little knowledge of what we were doing & seeing.. basically he only spoke reluctantly if asked a question .. I put together a group of 9 co workers to enjoy this tour with us that were all disappointed, dissatisfied, confused and embarrassing for me to say the least! the entire day was a waist of time (9 hrs) .. there are other options in Christchurch to tour.. avoid this one at all costs.. it was just a long day sitting on a van. This was the 1st negative review I have ever written on TripAdvisor/La Vacanza Travel

My friends and I were looking forward to this tour and finding out more about the South Island area and the history of Akaroa and the places we were scheduled to stop. Unfortunately we basically paid for a safe driver and not a tour. It was very disappointing that we didn't get an actual tour. We made the best of it, but I would definitely not recommend this particular tour operator. Everything we learned I had to pull up online. The stop at the cheese factory was unnecessary.

Unfortunately the description of the tour was wrong. We thought we were getting a tour. Details of the places we went & history of the area. It was just a hired van. When we arrived at our destination we were told we had 1 1/2 hours to spend there That was definitely not long enough. Pictures & description said we would see wildlife & showed a boat tour. None of that happened. I would not recommend this tour to anyone. We should have just rented a car & saved some $$$

Enjoyed the scenic route and the dolphins experience. King Cabs driver was great to work with. Appreciate the private tour we were put on.
