We were there in the first week of February which is not an italian holiday and therefore supposed to be quieter. The ski tour is advertised as the main ski route for the various resorts. Unfortunately the infrastructure is totally inadequate resulting in long queues at every lift; they need fast 6 or 8 man chair lifts at every lift. The high numbers of people mean that every run was being chewed up and were very busy. There is excellent skiing in each resort but I suggest you ski on runs that are away from the Sellaronda. Val Gardena was my favourite. From Val e Fassa, avoid the lift at Campitello which is extremely busy with long queues. Use Camazei, Alba or Pozza to start your skiing.

The Sellaronda ski tour connects the four Ladin valleys of the Dolomites that surround the Sella Massif. As you ski around the Sella mountain you never do the same slope twice, which is a great bonus. If you go quickly you can ski the Sellaronda in less than half a day. But you can also take is leisurely and have some stops on the way to enjoy the scenery while you enjoy coffee or lunch. Or you repeat your favorite slopes a few times.
