Itinerary

Day 1: Ende - Moni Village

Stop At: Mount Kelimutu, Moni, Flores Indonesia
We pick up guests from Ende Airport and drive to Moni Village in the foothills of Mt. Kelimutu after that. Guest will spend a peaceful calm afternoon there and stay overnight at a pre-booked hotel/guesthouse/lodge in Moni Village.

Accommodation included: Guests will need to book a hotel/guesthouse/lodge in Moni Village, and not in Ende town.

Day 2: Kelimutu National Park - Ende

Stop At: Kelimutu Lake (Tri-Color Lake), Ende, Flores Indonesia
We start at 3.30 am (depend on sunrise time of the day) to reach the park gate at around 4 am. Then we will start trekking to top of the mountain (around half an hour). Guests will enjoy mesmerizing beautiful sunrise panorama of the crater lakes with all their glory.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Ende, Ende, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara
We will return to Moni village to collect baggage and have breakfast/take bath. Then we drop guests at Ende Airport or other place in Ende town. The tour will end at 10 am.

To maximize your experience, please note :
1. it is strongly recommended to book your stay in a hotel/guesthouse/lodge in Moni Village at the foothills of Mt. Kelimutu, and NOT book an accomodation in Ende town.
2. Our pick up and drop off service is from/to Ende Airport. It is strongly recommended to book a flight to Ende that will arrive at 14.15 on Day 1 (for reference : Wings Air from Labuan Bajo) and a return flight that depart not earlier than 11.35 on Day 2 (for reference : Wings Air to Kupang). Our car will only arrive back at Ende town at 9.30-10.00 on Day 2, so please be mindful when making your flight booking. Please kindly inform us your flight information as soon as possible.
3. Our tour will be ended at the latest 12.00 pm in Day 2 at Ende Airport or any of other places in Ende town. So if you wish to extend your stay in Moni Village, this will be beyond our package and our car will still return to Ende.

Your visit to Indonesia is not complete without seeing the colored lake of Mount Kelimutu (well we did our tour on 5 islands including Flores to put that into perspective). It is truly amazing. My parent and I went a few days ago for the sunrise (reminder: it could be quite chilly up there) and stayed about for almost 3 hours. It is unlike anything you will ever see—special thanks to our driver Ansel who is very passionate in his work.

Mount Ijen and Bromo may be nice, but Mount Kelimutu is honestly on a whole different level. Firstly, the trekking uphill wasn't too difficult, especially with the help of the stairs. Secondly, the sunrise over the crater lake is absolutely mesmerizing, and we even ended up staying there for more than two hours. And lastly, the best part was that there were not many people there, just a few locals. Highly recommended.
