I don't usually write reviews but there were non here and I wanted to share my experience. I also want to not I was traveling with my parents who are now considered "senior citizens" You're really getting two separate excursions...Our day in Jordan was with a group of 40+ people, well organized. It was a bit rushed at the site but I knew that going in. As far as the Egypt portion goes...we were taken to the border in the evening. The tour provider have representatives help us cross over and introduced us to our driver in Egypt. Everything went smooth! We did drive through the night in a van but it was just the 3 of us, driver, an assistant and armed security (yes, you read that right). There is also several checkpoints by the Egyptian government/army throughout the drive where they can track where you are in case an emergency does occur. AKA it felt kinda scary but also VERY safe knowing so many precautions were in effect. The guides were kind and helpful as well! Some of the site were a little rushed but I understand that since we were cramming so much into a short amount of time. Everything felt well planned out and had our safety in mind. I was definitely worried going in but everything went smooth and if you're cool for a long ride through the Sinai to get to Cairo I would 100% recommend this! It was quite the experience to say the least! Kudos to the provider and local guides for their organization and safety!
