Itinerary
Experience the traditional fishing methods that have been passed down for over 400 years on Lake Mikata, and engage in a tour that touches upon the wisdom of predecessors who have sustainably inherited their practices, along with considerations for the future of natural resources. This tour takes place in the autumn and winter, when the fishing of carp and crucian carp, specialties of Lake Mikata, is particularly active.
Embark on a fisherman's boat and receive explanations about the unique fishing methods from the local fishing cooperative association. Following that, partake in an experience where you can sample the traditional fishing methods of Lake Mikata and locally sourced ingredients at a campsite along the lakeside.
Through interactions and exchanges with fishermen and locals actively involved in this area, convey the sentiments and thoughts of the locals to the participants.
