Sailing is a life changing experience!

In four hours, you will help sail a large sailing yacht into the sunny waters of Okanagan Lake. We provide hands on instruction and lots of opportunities to learn or just relax.

And it is is unbelievably beautiful! The scenery is spectacular, from the many developed wineries on The Naramata Bench to the wild natural areas and park. Photographers will love it!

The lake is warm and clean. As part of our day, we often anchor up to go for a swim or for a paddleboard. It is the perfect experience to spend a day in the outdoors to create family memories or incredible encounters with friends.

We offer more than sailing. We love people! Explore how to better navigate your life. Learn how to better respond to winds of change. We bring together the skills of sailing and life wisdom: ‘sailing with heart’. It is a mix of sunshine, laughter, friendship and also a meaningful encounter.

What Can You Expect?

Enjoy a four hour sailing adventure on our 46' sailing yacht 'Anam Cara' on sunny Okanagan Lake.

The afternoon sun warms your skin, as it filters across the deck. The boat gently turns with your subtle touch at the wheel. Her sails fill as you respond to the gathering winds. You feel fully alive in the dancing diamond field of light and waves.
Join us to create a magical memory with your loved ones and friends!

You can participate in the art of sailing as much as desired. You will love the responsiveness of this well designed sailing vessel! We sail on a 46' long Hunter 460 'Anam Cara'. You don't have to have any experience in sailing!

You can also enjoy a dive off the boat, a swim or a paddleboard! Maybe you just want to lay back, enjoy a cold beer or wine, and cherish a rewarding day on the water with good people. You are free to choose!

Please bring what you like to drink or eat (beer or wine is fine), sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, rain jacket or windbreaker, layers for warmth on cooler days, running/tennis/water shoes (no sandals please!), swimwear and towel. We provide lots of cold sparkling water, PFD and paddleboards.

It was an absolute privilege to be on board the Anam Cara, and the owners Dan and Robyn were a delight to sail with! It was the perfect day with a breeze, so the sailing experience was perfect! They show you the basic idea of sailing on a 46’ boat which is so cool! We anchored in front of Sunoka beach and chilled and ate Charcuterie and drank wine. It was super relaxing! Highly recommend this experience to anyone, as it is a very rare one to come by, here in the southern Okanagan! Will do this again for sure!

My wife and I had a wonderful time aboard Dan and Robyn’s fine sailboat. They were warm inviting hosts and great guides during the 4 hour sail. The ship is beautiful and well maintained. We will be recommending it to all of our friends and family who live or visit the area.

What a experience! So enjoyable, I'll be back - if I can manage to book a spot next year. I booked quite a few excursions in BC but this was my favorite by a long shot. Dan and Robyne were the hosts everyone hopes for. Engaging in sailing lingo when guests inquired and allowing them to man the helm and raise the jenny. What fun! I didn't know what to expect, but it was very comfortable with 9 people aboard the 46 foot vessel and as a non-swimmer I never felt anxious or concerned no matter where I chose to enjoy time on the boat as Dan inquired immediately about everyone's comfort level on the water. There were washroom facilities and a lower level to hide from the sun if needed. The winds were great when we first started out that morning, but disappeared later in the day, which affected our ability to sail, but it was still a wonderful peaceful experience motoring by some large estates on the water and enjoying a dip near a beach before heading back to the Naramata Marina. Can't wait to see you again next year Dan and Robyn! Many thanks for a memorable experience that will keep me (and my friends) coming back and again and again.

I booked a trip with Dan and Robyn to celebrate my partner's birthday. We wanted to have an experience that we had never tried before. Dan and Robyn were nothing short of incredible from the moment we met. They were hospitable, accommodating, and so darn friendly (I truly cannot emphasize this enough!) They have an amazing ability to make you feel like you've been lifelong friends even on your first meeting. Both are highly knowledgeable and open to sharing that knowledge, and will be patient as they teach you the ropes (literally!) My partner was able to steer for a large majority of the trip, and he still says it was the greatest birthday he could've ever imagined. The weather was perfect, but the company was nonpareil. I cannot recommend Robyn and Dan highly enough. Although this was our first trip with them, we can guarantee we will spend more time with them in the future.
