The cruise begins along the Tempasuk river where you will be greeted by the majestic view of Mount Kinabalu at the background and before long the sight of bouncy crowds of proboscis monkeys will engross river cruisers hence do not forget to bring your binoculars. Village panorama along the cruise will equally fascinate you. Further in the cruise, a dramatic view awaits as the sunsets and if you are lucky, even a slight drizzle will add colours to your excursion as the rainbow appears on the horizon. For the second cruise along Nanamun river, the enchanting sight of Christmas lights emanating from fireflies in the thousands will brighten up the journey.

I had a boat to myself with two boatmen. It was raining my pants were wet despite the life jacket they let me sit on.

A good tour to see the Proboscis Monkey endemic to Borneo. Quite a drive from our hotel ~ 2 hours (would be quicker but for the roadworks along the way) A tour along the river to see 3 types of Monkey including Proboscis, Macaque and silver languor. Also a tree snake swimming across the river. Many varieties of birds. A stop for a buffet dinner then after dark another cruise along the river to see fireflies in the trees. Fireflies sparkled like stars along the riverbanks. Another ~2 hour journey back to the hotel. Left hotel @ 2 pm and returned @ 9 pm

It was a slightly different experience than described, but this is because of the impact of Covid and hopefully things get back to normal as time goes on. Things are really just opening up for tourism, here. Company did everything right, everyone did a great job and we really enjoyed the river "safari" and were enthralled by the fireflies. Bit of a drive from KK center, but nothing anyone can do about that. Worth it.

This tour was basically like a cobbled together tour with a driver just picking us up - no official guide. Drive was 2& half hours to first boat trip Still no official Guide just one who said he wasn't a river guide he just did it for a hobby. High tea was just cold noodles & sausages in tomato sauce & jam sandwiches. River trip not too bad but the meal after was not in a restaurant but on the jetty with no ejectricity so we were eating in the dark. The food was boney chicken grisly beef & rice & vegetables My friend who I had said was a veggie could only have vegetable & rice all of which was cold. Not the delicious local meal described We were then sent onward with just the driver to the firefly cruise at this fine it was pouring with rain & we taken to an old shed & told we would have to wait for the rain to stop before the firefly cruise. As we had a two & half hour drive back & the rain was so heavy & not going to stop We decided to gi straight back. So basically this was a waste of money

Cooler zweiteiliger Ausflug. Erst Bootstour ca. 1h mit vielen Tieren im und am Wasser. Danach Glühwürmchen. Bucht was exklusives. Waren zu 5. auf dem Boot. Nebenann 20er Massenabfärtigung Chinesenboote.
