Overview

Let’s take break at the nature by watching fireflies and silver leaf monkeys at kuala selangor.

We’ll head to Bukit Malawati kuala selangor from KL city centre which will take a around 45min-50min drive to watch Silver leaf monkeys, which are more friendly and tame than other monkeys. Believe me, you shouldn’t miss this experience. And also we can spend ample of time here to feed the monkeys and take beautiful pictures.

Right after that, we’ll be heading to get a quick local Chinese style seafood dinner at a fisherman’s village (not included in tour packages).

Next we’ll be heading to the fireflies park. Quietly float out on boat to see the incredible twinkles of the largest fireflies colony in Malaysia. Marvel at the ability of these amazing lightning bugs to synchronize their light patterns before your return to Kuala Lumpur.

You’ll be able to see Eagle Feeding (optional) and blue tears (optional) at firefly park too.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Sri Shakti Temple, Bukit Rotan, Kuala Selangor 45700 Malaysia

The Temple is built in strict conformance to the prescriptions of sacred Hindu Vedas and Aagamas. For example, the layout of the Temple integrates three concentric corridors which serve to guide devotees in a tranquil procession that culminates in the Main Moolasthanam (sanctum sanctorum).

Amongst its other unique features is a strikingly conceived island which has adopted a rare sculptural technique known as Thundu Pattirippu Pathroba Pathram. This fine and delicate technique is customarily not employed in current temple construction, even in India, due to its high degree of complexity, and, was inspired by the shrine of Sri Subramanyar in the Bragatheeswarar Temple Complex (Peria Kovil) in Tanjore, South India.

Helmed by the iconic Shivasri A. P. Muthukumara Shivachariyaar, a renowned national and regional spiritual and religious Hindu leader, the Sri Shakti Temple is not just another place of worship, but one that will stand as a prominent Hindu landmark in Malaysia.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Bukit Melawati, Kuala Selangor 45000 Malaysia

As a historical place, Bukit Melawati has several remnants from the past that appeal to those interested in its history. A few leftover cannons and foundation stones attract visitors here for their historical values of Bukit Melawati .

The Hill of Melawati is also home to the Silver-Leafed Monkeys and Long-Tailed Macaques. You can purchase peanuts from vendors around the area at Bukit Melawati and feed the monkey. Although the Silver-Leafed Monkey are generally quite gentle, visitors are advised to be cautious with the Long-Tailed Macaques as they can be highly mischevious. Just be careful when feeding them as they are considered wild creatures and can be dangerous when provoked.

We had a lovely time on this tour. Nathan is such a nice man and a very good driver. My highlight was meeting the monkeys. We then had dinner at our expense on the riverfront with lots of restaurant options. Then an exhilarating longboat ride took us down river to view fireflies and bioluminescence which was very different! I would highly recommend this tour. Thankyou

Had a wonderful experience on this tour. The guides are very friendly, considerate, knowledgeable, and seem to genuinely care about you having a great experience. Kiran picked me up at my hotel in a nice car. During the entire drive he pointed out various sites in the city and recommended places to visit and eat at. He actually did a better job at that than the person who drives the Hop On Hop Off bus. The first stop on the tour was to a Hindu temple where we were able to explore inside. Next stop (my favorite) was the monkey feeding…an experience that should not be missed. Next we made our way to a fishing village. Our group opted to add on the eagle feeding tour and the bioluminescent one. Both were enjoyable. We also had dinner at a local restaurant before heading out for the night tours. The bioluminescent or “blue tears” as they call it doesn’t compare to say the bioluminescent lagoon in Puerto Rico, but everyone on the boat seemed to enjoy it. The last tour was the fireflies and that was actually more enjoyable than I expected. The guides allowed us an up close & personal view of the insects. Finally we were all driven back to our hotels in Kuala Lumpur. Overall the experience was a great value for the cost and made even better by excellent guides.

Mr Patrick was very knowledgeable. We had a small group which was nice. The monkey feeding and the fireflies were cool but the blue tears not really worth it.

10/10 experience! It was a last minute booking but it made the trip! Our tour guide was Sanjev and he was the best guide anyone could ever ask for The team had the best communication over WhatsApp, very transparent and clear. They were also flexible with our schedule. The car we were picked up in was amazing, beautifully decked out and very comfortable Alphard with complimentary water, reclining seats etc. Our first stop at the Hindu temple was serene, Sanjev ensured we knew what we were doing to respect the local customs. Gave us a short tour of the significance of the building and architectural history, before allowing us to roam around for about an hour We were then taken to the silver leaf monkeys and that was the highlight! The monkeys were extremely friendly and everyone knew Sanjev very well including the monkeys! Sanjev helped us feed the monkeys, taught us to overcome our fear, and helped us take many photos. We were there for about an hour and it was great fun. Highly recommended for all travelers, there were families, couples, and solo travellers Afterwards, we headed over to the Firefly tour. Before we went on, we had a lovely Thai dinner/snack right next to where the tour takes place. Great food, but even better views of the river during sunset (meal not included in the package) We then went to firefly tour which was amazing. Sanjev ensured we had the best seats and even caught some fireflies and gave them to us to hold! Afterwards we went (not included in the package, had to pay extra for this) “Blue Tear” spotting. Aka glowing water, the bioluminescent algae on the water! Although the weather wasn’t perfect for it, we still had a great time with the boat ride, winds, and trying to see as much of the algae as we could Finishing it off with a nice ride back to the hotel, Sanjev put on some Netflix in the car to ensure we were comfortable after a fun and tiring day 10/10 would recommend to everyone, locals, tourists. It was amazing!
