This was an excellent trip and very good value for money. Our guide whose name sounded like Juan (forgive me if I got that wrong) was very considerate and efficient. We stopped for a photo opportunity at a Hindu Temple, then we stopped off to feed some monkeys which was an "interesting" experience, then we went out on a boat to feed eagles and seagulls, literally hundreds of them swarming around the boat. On the way back we saw a number of large lizards and on our return we had our included dinner at a Thai restaurant with chicken, calamari, prawns, fish, vegetables and fried rice, all of which was very good. Suitably watered and fed we went back out on the water again at dusk to see the fireflies. This was fascinating but almost impossible to photograph, an experience for your mind's eye rather than your camera. All told a very interesting and varied trip which I would thoroughly recommend.

This tour is a great option for a night. Sri Shakti temple was a cool temple to visit, different from Sri Mariamman and Batu Caves that you'll see in other tours. Uniquely, it is not brightly painted like other Hindu temples. Very interesting to see. Feeding/petting monkeys was a lot of fun; they are adorable and friendly. Costs maybe 1 or 2$ to buy food for them. The restaurant was a Thai restaurant on the waterfront. We had sweet and sour fish, some kind of pork and vegetables, and fried rice (I'm guessing with Jasmine). Very, very good. It also allowed a fantastic view of the sunset. We did not visit the lighthouse on Bukit Melawati. I'm not sure if it was from time constraints or some other factor. However, it hardly mattered as from the description of the tour, you can't go inside anyway. The highlight of the tour was (of course) seeing the fireflies and the glowing water at night. I've never seen so many fireflies, nor have I seen water that glows as it goes into motion. I still don't know (and havene't researched) why it glows like that, but it's sure cool to see. Finally, our tour guide Hery/Harry (not sure how to spell it, since we received emails from someone spelling it Hery) was a fantastic tour guide. Very funny and always joking. Excellent guide.

The scene of mangrove at nightfall was really beautiful. However, a brief introduction to the Indian temple and recommendation to major spots in Melawati Hill were not given. It is easy to miss the feature of the tour.

The boat ride was good. However, the seafood dinner had a lot to be desired. I would have prefer buy my own food because what was order for us was very disappointed. The driver should not be driving, he is not a safe driver and dont think he can see the road on the return trip.

The food at the seafood restaurant had a lot to desire, not because it was not good, but because it was ordered by the tour company and must have picked the cheapest dishes. Driver of vehicle should not be driving at all, very poor driver.
