The first village we will meet starts from Como and Blevio where we will admire the suggestive Villa Troubetzkoy and the other splendid villas on the eastern shore of the lake and then pass in front of the Hotel Mandarin Lake Como.

Admire the private villas overlooking the lake.

The second village that can be reached coming from Como is Torno: its coasts are full of historic villas such as Villa Taverna and the suggestive Villa Pliniana off the coast of which you can immerse yourself in the lake to cool off a bit.

Orrido di Nesso, a waterfall set among the mountains visible beyond the Civera bridge from where, very often, the bravest dive into the lake.

In Lenno we find splendid villas including “La Cassinella” “Balbiano” and Villa del Balbianello owned by Fai. Villa Balbianello and its magical gardens can be visited by purchasing tickets in advance.

The only island on Lake Como. There were 9 churches on the island before the Como people razed them to the ground in 1169. Today only the baroque church of San Giovanni is still intact. Every year at the end of June the escape of the island's inhabitants towards Varenna is remembered, with a representation in which the lake is illuminated like day with thousands of floating candles and finally with a fireworks display. The waters around the island are the ideal place to sip an aperitif and/or go for a swim
