Itinerary

Come and explore the beautiful Black Canyon!

You will arrive at Willow Beach where you will get your rental kayak or SUP, to be able to enjoy an amazing day!

You will receive basic paddling and water safety instructions and information about the surrounding area, directions to Emerald Cave, a bottle of water, life vest, paddle, single or double kayak or SUP.

When paddling upstream into Black Canyon scour the banks to be the first to spot Desert Big Horn Sheep, or look above and see if there are any Bald Eagles. You can stop at a historical overlook, that will give you awe-inspiring views of the legendary Colorado River. Finally, enjoy the beautiful green waters of Emerald Cave.

What to bring?
Hat, sunglasses, sunblock, water shoes or sandals, layered clothing, swimsuit (in summer).

• Emerald Cove, Willow Beach, Las Vegas, NV

• Single or double kayak, or SUP, life vest, paddle, bottled water
• Directions about all surrounding destinations, Emerald Cave and the Black Canyon historical sites
• Basic kayaking instructions
• Shuttle pickup from Mandalay Bay Hotel from the Strip if you selected the "with Shuttle" option
• We will contact you regarding your choice of equipment/ single or double kayak

• If you drive yourself, National park fee is $25/vehicle, free for kids, military ID or NPS card.
• If you take the shuttle, National park fee is $15/person, free for kids, military ID or NPS card
• This is a kayak rental, not a guided kayak tour

• Not wheelchair accessible
• Infant seats available
• Not recommended for travelers with back problems
• Not recommended for pregnant travelers
• No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
• Most travelers can participate
• Basic kayaking instructions provided
• Directions about all surrounding destinations, Emerald Cave and the Black Canyon
• This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
• This tour/activity will have a maximum of 30 travelers

If you choose to take the shuttle from Las Vegas, pick up point is at the Mandalay Bay Hotel - Main Entrance, Lower Level - Valet & Shuttle tour area.

If you drive yourself, we meet you at Willow Beach, Arizona - designated paddlecraft area.
