Griff was our guide for a 9am kayak tour on the c Colorado River to the emerald caves. Beautiful day on the water. Not crowded. He is an exceptional historian who loves to teach and share his knowledge about the area.

There was a group of six of us and when we booked we ordered tandem kayaks. We did this mainly because one of the people in our group has a torn rotator cuff. There were none available when we got there and we were told we had booked single kayaks and if that wasn't ok we can go another day. (This was our last day we were in town so this was not an option)

We took this tour on our recent trip to the USA, and it was fantastic. Griff and Brett were very informative and helpful. We learnt a lot about the history of the river and the area around us. The scenery was amazing and touring the Emerald Cave was a definite highlight. Due to a high wind forecast for our time slot, Brett arranged for us to take a morning tour instead and I am so glad we did. Would absolutely recommend Veteran Kayaks for an enjoyable tour of the Colorado River and the Emerald Cave.

The weather was perfect for the trip. Griff, our tour guide was the best. Made sure our group was good with the pace of paddling. The time for our arrival into Emerald Cave was perfect to get just the right lighting.
