Stop At: Himmafushi Island, Himmafushi Island

Visit the local island of Himmafushi by boat on this half-day tour from Male. Travelers can experience firsthand on how local Maldivians go about on their daily life on the island and our guide will be sharing information on the traditions and culture along the way. Once on the island we will be going for snorkeling and swimming to explore the underwater world. While on the island we will go check out places within the island - Surf break point, beaches, local boatyard and local hangout parks/areas and have lunch at local restaurant.

This is a great tour for folks looking to get to know “the real Maldives.” Himmafushi is fantastic for learning about local Maldivian culture and a peek into the daily life in this country. Just a 30 minutes boat ride from Malé, but it truly feels a world apart. The snorkeling was wonderful. The beach was accommodating for foreigners. And we really enjoyed the local food, especially the coconut desserts. I would recommend this for folks who want to learn a bit about the local culture and get away from Malé for a day trip.
