Pass By: Parco Regionale delle Alpi Apuane, Seravezza Italy
Your driver will fetch you from your chosen location in Cimque Terre (hotel, B&B, or private apartment), or as close as possible, initiating a scenic drive through the enchanting landscapes of Tuscany. As we traverse the highway, you'll catch sight of the Marble Mountains in the Apuan Alps, renowned for providing Renaissance artists with the marble used in their masterpieces.
Stop At: Leaning Tower of Pisa, Piazza del Duomo Piazza dei Miracoli, 56126, Pisa Italy
Our initial stop will be in Pisa, providing you with the opportunity for an unrestricted visit. Here, you'll have ample time to marvel at and capture photographs of the world-renowned "Leaning Tower" along with other noteworthy monuments in the square, including the Baptistery and the Cathedral.
The Leaning Tower, with its unique tilt, originated during construction in the 12th century due to the soft ground's inability to adequately support the structure's weight. The lean intensified through the completion of construction in the 14th century. Subsequent remedial work, conducted between 1993 and 2001, successfully stabilized the structure, reducing the tilt to a precise 3.97 degrees.
