Overview

Our pioneering spirit at La Maison Arabe led us to open the first cooking school in the Kingdom of Morocco in 2001. Food lovers staying in Marrakech can discover some secrets of Moroccan traditional cuisine. The workshops are conducted by a dada (traditional Moroccan cook), algonside a translator ( Arabic/English/French) and are held by the cooking school near the Riad-Hotel La Maison Arabe or by the secret gardens away from the hustle and bustle of the medina. The Moroccan cooking workshops at La Maison Arabe allow one to learn the ins and outs of preparing a Moroccan dish in a beautiful new workshop with state-of-the-art equipment. The workstations are individual and only fresh local ingredients of the highest quality are used.

Cooking workshops at La Maison Arabe offers 2 options : 

* 1 Hour express Moroccan cooking workshops: 2 sessions per day : 1:30pm (lunch) & 6:30 pm (dinner).

* 3 Hours Moroccan cooking workshop: 2 sessions per day at 10am (lunch) and 3pm (dinner).

Beautiful and well organized cooking stations in a nice hotel. The instructors were knowledgeable and friendly. We did not want to go to the market so this worked out well for us. The patio was great and were able to order some wine with the meal we cooked. I did see some of the other photos and thought we were supposed to cook a side dish but only cooked the tangine????

This is a must do in a great setting with brilliant instructions plus a lesson on spices beforehand. After we helped make some bread and cook a chicken tagine with two sides we were able to enjoy the meal. Water and soft drinks are free however wine and alcoholic drinks need to be paid for which is absolutely fine. We were also given a lovely tote bag and a tagine as a gift to take home. A brilliant experience and would highly recommend!

Women-lead cooking experience in a professional kitchen within Hotel La Maison Arabe. The instruction was friendly, informative and detailed, while also being warm and lighthearted. The food was delicious, too. Nice cultural experience in a lovely setting. Plan for two hours or so if you book the 1 hour course to factor in time to eat what you prepared.

What a fantastic experience, from start to end. Beautiful setting, modern kitchen area with very well equipped individual work stations. Two lovely ladies gave step by step instructions. It was a lot of fun and the dish tasted delicious. Would definitely recommend to all. We were a group of 3 , myself, husband and 14 year old . Very good value for money. Will definitely book to do this again , next time we are in marrakesh.
