The tour, lasting 2 hours, gives guests the opportunity to visit, in a fun and light-hearted way, the whole of the historic center and all the ancient district "Sassi" (Barisano and Caveoso) along the main streets, most important neighborhoods and historical churches (in conjunction with the opening hours) .Our guests will be provided at the departure of audio guides, which will accompany users to discover the old city. In this regard, we specify that the audio guide supports are in Italian and English. inside the tour, included in the ticket, there is a visit to a cave house, historic and characteristic dwelling of the time and a free tour of the Cathedral. Guided entrances to the Cathedral, cave churches and other paid places are excluded unless direct users in the desired structures. The group will be constantly supported, for any technical needs of the vehicles, by a leader who, at the head of the group, will indicate the right st road to go

Free visit to the majestic Cathedral of Madonna della Bruna and Sant'Eustachio. Main Catholic place of worship in Matera.

Stop At: Sasso Barisano, 75100, Matera Italy

Visit of the Sasso Barisano overlooking the panoramic point called Barisano. It presents more built environments than excavated. From the panoramic point you can admire the "gorge" of the Gravina stream that divides the ancient Sassi districts from the Murgia plateau.

Stop At: Sasso Caveoso, Piazza S. Pietro Caveoso, 75100 Matera MT, Italy

Visit of the Sasso Caveoso. The houses in this part are almost all digging. Here you can see how man has incorporated nature into his homes in a harmonious way.

We traveled to Matera and planned our day around our scheduled tour with Grand Tour of the Stones . Three hours before our tour we received a notice that they canceled our tour and we could reschedule for April 3. Unfortunately we will be leaving the area. Our first tour was scheduled for April 1 and they canceled 3 weeks before and suggested we schedule for March 30.

Domi was fantastic. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Well worth the reasonable rates and a great way to see Matera in 2 hours. We would recommend this to everyone wanting a fun excursion.

We arrived at the appointed time to mind the meeting point shop closed. Email to operator and calls to La Vacanza Travel's calls to him revived no response. An hour or so later received communication from operator asking if we could be available to do the tour later in the afternoon. We answered in the affirmative; however, when we arrived we discovered the electronic tuk-tuk requires peddling. So wasn't going to work for my 92 year old aunt.

Such a fun way to see Bari! Our tour guide was lovely and the audio tour was very clever. Getting to see the cave house was great. We did an evening tour so was not too hot and had lovley sunset views of bari

What a fabulous way to see the sites of Matera. Our guide Dominico rode his bike in front of our electric rickshaw to direct where we needed to ride, and we each had our own audio guides to explain what we were seeing. There were plenty of stops, and we had time to go into many of the churches to have a look around. We also visited a fabulous Casa. The tour wasn’t rushed at all and it was the only one I could find that lasted 2 hours. There is a little bit of hard peddling at the end, but otherwise it’s very easy riding. And fun! Would definitely recommend.
